+ The Project SME will act as Customer Operations representative on the commissioning phase/s of the Telehouse South project to ensure that all equipment is functionally tested and handed over to operations in its as designed condition.
+ Seconded into the customer team with a close relationship to the CBRE site operations and projects team.
+ In addition, the appointed person will be required to develop an in-depth knowledge of the technical systems and generate operational documentation to allow the Engineering Team to operate and maintain the equipment safely and effectively.

+ Responsible for all witnessing of all SAT (Site Acceptance Test) IST (Internal Systems Testing).
+ The appointed person will be the site representative for development and management of operations processes and procedures and their standardisation across the Site.
+ The Projects SME will have a strong mechanical and electrical background and will continuously review the Methods of Procedures (MoPs) in conjunction with asset handover for use in maintenance work on business-critical infrastructure with the operational teams. **Health & Safety**
+ Responsible for standardising the local Health & Safety program to align with the corporate program to ensure full coverage and compliance. Ensuring all areas during project delivery and handover are to contractual requirement and governance.
+ Equipment Maintenance Planning
+ Create or validate a Scope of Service (SoS) for each unique equipment type.
+ The SoS will contain the maintenance strategy, frequencies, durations, and detailed work scope based on engineering reliability methods, the manufacturer's recommendations, site conditions.
+ Interface with Customer Project Team
+ Undertake IST, witness testing and attend factory acceptance testing. Develop library of OEM literature and drawings to populate site grab packs and procedures.
+ Upon project completion the Projects Technical Manager will review, develop, and implement.
+ CAFM system updates.

**Quality Assurance**
+ Manage the on‐going effort to modify and create processes and procedures in the areas of service delivery, operational readiness, safety, compliance, and administration.
+ These processes and procedures will be reviewed and enhanced on a regular basis either as a result of feedback from the field, and or project or as part of a scheduled periodic review.
**Quality Control**
+ Manage technical review and approval of critical procedures, monitor program compliance, conduct audits and evaluate program effectiveness.
**Quality Improvement**
+ Translate process observations and measurements into process improvements locally and coordinate with CBRE to ensure processes remain standardised across CBRE.
**Change Management**
+ Responsible to run a standardised CBRE formal change control process in conjunction with the client system for the local site and where needed, the wider portfolio. Ensure proper preparation, work procedures and documentation, notifications, follow‐through activities and exception handling are in place for maintenance activities.
**Process Analysis and Design**
+ Responsible for representing the site for the analysis and design of all critical environments programs.
+ Drive the continuous improvement of Energy performance for the site and where needed across the portfolio.
**Critical Environment Risk Management**
+ Ensure the CERMTM methodology is embedded across the Site. Form part of CMT (Crisis Management Team),
+ Attend to and take all necessary action, statutory or otherwise, in the event of incidents and take such action as may be appropriate.
+ Be prepared to undertake investigations of incidents or accidents to ensure impartial and Technical Advice and direction to ensure as far as possible the incident or accident does not occur again.
+ To ensure that systems and processes are in place to for compliance to agreed CBRE DCS standards.
**Training**
+ Responsible for training or coordination of training for all CBRE critical environments programs, training on new systems and processes.

The Role

The successful candidate will be able to apply a risk-focused maintenance approach and operations of plant and systems in data centres/critical environments. The position of the Data Centre Engineering Supervisor is key to the technical operations of the building and its infrastructure.
As the post holder, you will be expected to have a detailed understanding of the installed building services systems, contingency procedures and be proactive in passing on this knowledge to other members of the Site Personnel. The Data Centre Engineering Supervisor will also be expected to become familiar with aspects of the administrative and engineering operations within the contract.
In general, your role will be to ensure the efficient operation of the critical and noncritical engineering services, PC based systems and the associated plant. Achieving 100% availability.
Working closely with the Engineering team, the Data Centre Engineering Supervisor role will be to act as a technical coordination point for the day-to-day maintenance activities, including the Specialist Subcontractors, Suppliers and other support teams. One of the key activities involves the role of a HV authorised person.
You will be the technical reference point for the completion of the necessary permits to ensure compliance with method statements, risk assessments, Supplier Health and Safety procedures. You will ensure that the conduct of any personnel under your control is safe, professional, and conscientious. You will be required to attend site meetings with the client.
Further to this the Engineering Supervisor will be a key player in ensuring training requirements within the Data Centre are met and engineers are either trained or in training to ensure the highest engineering standards.
The Data Centre Engineering Supervisor with Support from the Campus Technical Manager will be responsible for ensuring all technical paperwork is created and approved to a high standard, this includes but is not limited to Safety Programs, Risk Assessments, Switching Schedules.

As Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency. You should be able to manage large scale impacting projects and new region support from conception to completion. As Chief Engineer, you will be tasked with creating and delivering on key milestones, obtaining and tracking quotes for all necessary costs, and documenting project results for future implementation at other facilities. The goals of such projects are for the Chief Engineers to drive innovation and resiliency while reducing operational costs in the facilities.

- Train and support the Engineering team in their role of providing electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operations
- Implement and execute site or equipment-specific training exercises. Exercises cover, but are not limited to: stand-by diesel generators, switchgear, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, chillers etc.
- Oversee day-to-day operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in data center sites
- Operate independently, with limited direct management
- Assist in the design and build-out of new facilities and perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
- Act as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues within the data center region. Work OT hours as needed to support site stability
- Troubleshoot and report facility and data sever-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- Create and deploy standard practices for Engineering Operations Technicians, Chief Engineers, and vendor support teams
- Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to by vendors, and AWS staff
- Respond to off hour emergency calls related to his data centers and help with the investigation, mitigation, and recovery of the issue(s).
