We are seeking several ambitious and driven Data Centre Engineering Shift Managers to join our growing Data Centre Operations team on a newly built state of the art facility. The Position

As an Data Centre Engineering Shift Manager , you’ll be the technical and operational leader on site, driving performance, reliability, and safety across your shift. You’ll oversee all maintenance activities, ensure critical systems uptime, and lead a high-performing team of engineers to deliver exceptional standards in a 24/7 live environment.

This role is all about leadership, accountability, and innovation — keeping critical infrastructure running while mentoring the next generation of data centre engineers.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of shift engineers, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
  • Oversee all planned and reactive maintenance activities across electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
  • Act as an Authorised Person (HV) , maintaining a safe system of work and ensuring all compliance documentation is in place.
  • Respond rapidly and effectively to real-time incidents and alarms , ensuring minimal downtime and clear communication.
  • Manage Permit to Work systems , review RAMS, and uphold the highest safety and operational standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the site — optimising performance, energy efficiency, and reliability.
  • Mentor and develop your team, delivering technical training, toolbox talks, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Represent the operations team with professionalism and technical authority in all client and vendor interactions.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an Engineering Shift Manager or Supervisor within Data centre or mission-critical operations .
  • Strong technical background with High Voltage Authorisation .
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and Emergency First Aid at Work certification.
  • Demonstrable experience managing real-time incidents and coordinating engineering teams under pressure.
  • A proactive approach to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

We are seeking a Data Quality Manager to lead the development and implementation of data quality frameworks across our core business systems—Salesforce, Zuora, and Netsuite. We are seeking to recruit a Data Quality Analyst to support our goal of building a world-leading, high-quality and curated data resource to support our science teams in delivering transformative pathogen metagenomics systems.

You will be responsible for identifying, investigating and resolving data quality issues including inaccuracies, inconsistencies and completeness issues to ensure that our data resource is accurate, reliable and trustworthy. You'll collaborate closely with the data acquisition team and our partnership managers to ensure that our partner network receives the feedback they need to learn from and continuously improve the quality of the data acquisition process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for profiling and analysing the data held within the data platform to identify errors, inconsistencies, duplicates and missing values, ensuring completeness and accuracy of the data sets.
  • Curation of data to ensure that data meets the quality requirements of the science teams for their project work.
  • Collaborate with the data engineers and science teams to ensure that data quality rules are defined, implemented and monitored in order to deliver a continuous improvement process with data acquisition partners.
  • Resolve issues with data quality by investigating root causes with science teams and partners to implement solutions to data quality issues.
  • Create and support data quality dashboards to validate the data and share insights on data quality with the science teams.
  • Ensure data which has failed as part of the ingest services due to quality issues is actioned in a timely way.
  • Work with the Data Governance Manager to support the implementation of data governance policies and standards within the data platform, ensuring that data access is managed correctly and that the data being used by science teams meets the required quality criteria.
  • Work with the genomic data scientists, architects and data engineers to understand the data use cases and processing and how the infrastructure can be improved.
  • Ensure that data management processes are meeting regulatory requirements and policy.

Requirements

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Strong understanding of genomic data and the biological significance of quality metrics.
  • Experience with pathogen sample metadata including MIC values and Antimicrobial Susceptibility.
  • Experience with data analysis methods and tools, including statistical analysis and SQL querying for structured data.
  • Ability to build and support analytical dashboards.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Oracle OCI.
  • Experience with data quality tooling and profiling.
  • Familiarity with data governance in a genomics data domain.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in order to interact with both technical and science teams.
  • Experience with healthcare clinical data and associated standards such as OMOP and SNOMED.

**The Team:**
Our Loans Data team is responsible for acquiring and maintaining the full life-cycle of data relating to the Broadly Syndicated and Institutional Loans Market. Timely and accurate acquisition, interpretation, capture and maintenance of loan data is key to meet client needs. The loans market has seen increasingly historic volumes over the past two years in addition to more complex deal structures which has placed emphasis on the need for electronification and automation, uncovering an opportunity for technical innovation for our team.
As a technical leader, you will work with different Securities teams solving problems and devising solutions for data quality challenges. With that, you would be expected to navigate through unknowns and ambiguity while driving decisions and solutions.
**What's the role?**
We are looking for a Data Quality professional to understand the data requirements, specify the modeling needs of datasets and use existing tech stack solutions for efficient data ingestion workflows and data pipelining. You will implement technical solutions using programming, machine learning, AI, and human-in-the-loop approaches to make sure our data is fit-for-purpose for our clients. You will work closely with our Engineering partners, our Data Product Owner as well as Product teams, so you need to be able to coordinate with multi-disciplinary and regional teams and have experience in project management and stakeholder engagement. You will need to be comfortable working with large datasets and you will need to demonstrate strong experience in data engineering.
**That means:**
Transforming how we manage the quality of our datasets, by applying industry best practices to devise quality checks and quality metrics in the ETL processes that create, transform and store data, and measure data against standards defined by our clients' needs
Identifying and advocating for opportunities to improve the quality of data, through process improvements or workflow infrastructure enhancements
Providing guidance on how to implement processes to measure, monitor and report on data quality to our internal partners in Product or Sales
Defining and driving the Data Quality strategy and Quality Assurance practices for the whole Securities group
**We'll trust you to:**
+ Develop, refine, and deliver the strategy for how to achieve best-in-class data quality, and champion organizational change around data quality as a domain of data management
+ Educate and empower colleagues in industry principles of data quality, in order to elevate awareness, appreciation and application of these principles more broadly
+ Closely collaborate with Securities teams and their Product and Engineering counterparts to help craft data quality strategy, execution roadmap, define return on investment and technical solutions
+ Perform data profiling and apply statistical methods to support data quality measurements
+ Optimally and proactively connect with partners and senior management
+ Keep up with the industry trends, standards, and innovation in the Data Quality domain
**You'll need to have:**
+ 4+ years of professional experience in Data Quality Management, Quality Assurance Consulting or establishing Data Governance on metrics design within Finance or Technology industries
+ Experience in crafting and developing data quality metrics and reporting as a part of a bigger data architecture framework
+ Understanding of ETL processes and broader data workflow engineering concepts
+ Up-to-date knowledge of events taking place in the financial markets
+ Demonstrable experience in Data Profiling/Analysis using tools such as Python, R, or SQL
+ Ability to lead multiple projects with global scope in parallel, with superb communication and stakeholder management skills
**We'd love to see:**
+ DAMA CDMP or DCAM certifications
+ Familiarity with Corporate Actions, Loans, Corporate Bonds
+ Project Management experience developed in a matrixed partner environment and cross-regional business
