Role Summary
We’re looking for a proactive and technically capable Data & Reporting Analyst to join the Strategy & Investment team at a pivotal moment in the company’s data journey. This newly created role is part of a broader move to bring data capabilities in-house, reducing reliance on external consultancies and building a centralised, scalable reporting infrastructure. You’ll work across departments to design dashboards, integrate diverse data sources, and deliver insights that drive both day-to-day decisions and long-term strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
Data & Reporting
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards across capex, asset performance, credit risk, and strategic KPIs.
- Standardise and manage data inputs from systems such as Yardi , OnePower , and other internal platforms into a central data lake .
- Produce structured outputs and data matrices used for Board reports, investor updates, and ExCo presentations.
Collaboration & Integration
- Work closely with the Finance , Asset Management , and Strategy teams to define and align reporting needs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline data pipelines and eliminate information silos.
- Partner with IT to ensure data solutions are secure, scalable, and future-ready.

Derby County Football Club are looking for a data-focused individual to lead the delivery of insight-led performance advantage to the 1st Team and Academy as they look to establish themselves once more in the EFL Championship. The Data and Analytics Lead possesses the imagination and critical thinking to lead the establishment of best-in-class data and analytics systems, processes and impact.
As the Data Analytics Lead, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading on all elements of data and analysis strategy and resourcing, for the 1st Team and Academy.
- Effectively leading and line managing the Data and Analysis department.
- Ensure that standard operating procedures are in place to support the planning and review of all matches and competitions, across levels.
- Growing the department’s capability to deliver live in-game analysis and impact.
- Ensuring that player identification, recruitment, and assessment are objectively and critically informed.
- Ensuring that coaching, and both team and player programming, are objectively and critically informed.
- Ensuring the integration of data sources and associated data science capability to deliver practical insight.

We're looking for someone who has:
- Extensive experience and demonstrable achievements in the field of Sports Data and Analytics
- Experience of impactful departmental leadership
- Demonstrable experience of working and integrating software such as, but not limited to, Piero/Hudl/Wyscout/Sportscode/Studio/Piston/Catapult/StatSport/StatsBomb, or similar services from sporting disciplines.
- Advanced coding and visualisation ability such as R/Python/Power BI
