Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Data Modeler to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data models that support business intelligence, analytics, and application development initiatives. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, data architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into logical, physical, and conceptual data models, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and alignment with enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills & Experience:

Proficiency in modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, or similar.

Solid knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, PostgreSQL, etc.) and familiarity with NoSQL databases.

Good understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and BI tools.

Hands-on experience with SQL and performance tuning.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience working in BFSI or enterprise-scale environments is a plus.
Preferred:

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.

Knowledge of Big Data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Snowflake, Databricks).

We are looking for a skilled Data Modelling Engineer to join our Data and Analytics team and play a key role in designing, implementing and maintaining high-quality, business-aligned data models within Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
In this role, you will focus on translating complex business requirements into scalable and maintainable conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, data architects, BI developers, and other data experts applying the best practices across various use cases. This position is well-suited for someone with strong data modelling background who enjoys working with modern data tools, solving complex data challenges, and building efficient, maintainable solutions in a collaborative environment.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:**
+ Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to meet analytics and operational requirements
+ Contribute to the definition of data modeling standards, naming conventions, and design patterns aligned with data governance and architectural principles
+ Ensure data models support performance, scalability, and flexibility across the enterprise
+ Support the development and enhancement of Data Warehouses, Lakehouse, and Semantic Layers
+ Define and document data entities, relationships, metadata, and lineage
+ Assist in data quality analysis and root cause identification related to structural data issues
+ Collaborate with data engineers, data architects and analysts to ensure models are effectively implemented and optimised, aligned with enterprise architecture, governance policies, and platform standards
**WHAT YOU'LL NEED:**
+ Proven expertise in data modelling techniques (dimensional, normalised, denormalised, star/snowflake schemas) and data warehousing principles, master data management, semantic layer design
+ Hands-on experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, Power Designer, etc.)
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Azure/Fabric components relevant to modeling: Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, OneLake, Data Factory
+ Understanding of metadata management, data catalogs, lineage tracking, and data governance
+ Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skill, effective collaboration and communication skills
+ Proven experience in data modelling or data architecture roles as well as experience with enterprise data platform projects, ideally with Azure/Microsoft Fabric
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science / information technology, or related field
