As a Solutions Architect in our Professional Services team, you will work with clients on short to medium-term engagements on big data challenges using the Databricks platform. You will provide data engineering, data science, and cloud technology projects requiring integration with client systems, training, and other technical tasks to help customers get the most value out of their data. You will work on a variety of impactful customer technical projects which may include designing and building reference architectures, creating how-to guides, and productionizing customer use cases.nWork with engagement managers to scope a variety of professional services work with input from the customer.nGuide strategic customers as they implement transformational big data projects, including end-to-end design, build, and deployment of big data and AI applications.nConsult on architecture and design; bootstrap or implement customer projects to support understanding, evaluation and adoption of Databricks.nProvide escalated support for customer operational issues.nCollaborate with the Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect and Customer team to ensure delivery of technical components to meet customer needs.nCoordinate with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide product and implementation feedback and guide rapid resolution for engagement-specific issues.nQualifications

Proficient in data engineering, data platforms, and analytics with a strong track record of successful projects and knowledge of industry best practices.nComfortable writing code in Python or Scala.nWorking knowledge of two or moreCloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.nDeep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.nFamiliarity with CI/CD for production deployments.nWorking knowledge of MLOps.nExperience designing and deploying performant end-to-end data architectures.nExperience with technical project delivery - managing scope and timelines.nDocumentation and white-boarding skills.nExperience working with clients and managing conflicts.nBuild skills in technical areas supporting deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions.nTravel is required up to 10%, more at peak times.nDatabricks Certification.nAbout Databricks

**What to Expect**
Architecture, Middleware, Data Management & Enterprise Services is a key Technology pillar that focuses on:
+ Development, support and maintenance of core data management solutions and enterprise services, used across multiple business lines. Key platforms include MUSBI, Raptor, LDS, FDS, Galileo, and EDM.
+ Provision of technology services and support for Finance and Financial Crime business areas, and point of contact for HR and Legal. We also undertake software development activities on our key regulatory or finance reporting software packages to ensure MUFG remains compliant with regulation and finance can meeting their reporting obligations. Key systems Oracle Financials, Moody's RAY, Siron AML, and CISNET KYC.

**Description & Requirements**
Bloomberg runs on data, and in Data we're responsible for acquiring and providing it to our clients. We collect, model, analyze, and publish data which is the backbone of the Bloomberg Terminal. We apply problem-solving skills to identify innovative workflow efficiencies, and we implement solutions to enhance our systems, products and processes- all while delivering advanced insights to our clients. We're responsible for delivering this data, news and analytics through innovative technology - quickly and accurately.
**Our Team:**
The Company Financials (CoFi) Data team designs and builds company analysis tools for the Bloomberg Terminal. This includes marquee applications on Bloomberg terminal which supports data related to financial analysis, analyst recommendations, and earnings estimates. The team is responsible for tracking the evolution of data points from data processing to database taxonomy as well as API syntax design and front-end application development.
What's the role?
You will be responsible for defining, articulating and leading the implementation of the product vision and strategy for our metadata discovery layer. You will partner with product managers to identify commercial targets and define the use cases to be pursued and prioritized. You will act as the main point of contact between our product and data teams to improve our company financials taxonomy and data model, ensuring a consistent experience for our clients across all delivery methods. While collaborating closely with our data modelers, ontologists and domain subject matter experts, you will design the knowledge graph structure in order to support client needs while enriching the metadata available in the semantic layer and API layer.

+ Maintain and evolve a roadmap for the discovery layer of the Company Financials products
+ Partner with Product, Engineering and Data to ensure deliverables are well defined and detailed, and align with the overall business goals
+ Drive product development, build and analyze metrics to measure business impact and success
+ Prioritize and balance resources across teams
+ Communicate progress effectively with stakeholders at all levels
+ Stay on top of the competitive environment and client trends
**You'll need to have:**

+ 4+ years of Product Manager experience bringing sophisticated products to market*
+ Knowledge of how company financials data is used by different financial market players
+ Proven skills in designing systems for data modelling and semantic modelling
+ Technical proficiency in being comfortable discussing technical concepts and experience evaluating trade-offs in design with Engineering, CTO, and Product
