Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. We're looking for full-time, Class 1 Drivers to join us at our site in Widnes. These roles are temp to perm for the ideal candidates. We have a mixture of start times and days available; you will typically work between 10-12-hour shifts.
Please note: To work with this client, a driving assessment (theory and practical) must be passed.
What you'll do on a typical shift:
- Multidrop deliveries between customer sites.
- On a typical shift you will carry out 1-6 drops.
- Safely operate your vehicle adhering to business standards.
- Will be delivering fresh produce to client sites across the Northwest and up as far as Cumbria.
- Trailers will be loaded by the client but will need to be unloaded at each drop, where roll cages will need to be pulled into designated areas at each depot.
- Ensure paperwork is all completed and signed off before leaving each site.
- Vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, ensure the load is secured correctly and compliance with VOSA.
What you need to succeed with our client:
- Must have a multidrop experience!
- HGV1 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
- A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
- Multidrop delivery experience.
- Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
