Your team
UBS Delta is an award winning cross-asset portfolio management platform used by many top-tier clients including large pension funds, major asset managers as well as hedge funds. We are currently working on a large project to deliver a redesigned solution with improved capabilities so that we can expand our client base and offer better services to our existing clients. Our team has a range of skill sets and offers an opportunity to work across all areas of the product development, from core quantitative valuation modelling to development of portfolio-level calculations and data solutions.

Your expertise

  • A numerate degree (mathematics, physics, engineering or similar)
  • Good algorithmic and general programming skills—knowledge / experience of data-intensive computing a plus
  • Some experience or knowledge of financial markets (particularly derivatives)
  • Knowledge / experience of C++ and/or C# programming languages
  • Knowledge/ experience with SQL/Postgres/MSSQL
  • Knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, etc. a plus
  • Knowledge of KDB / Q is a plus
  • Someone who loves solving business problems through application of quantitative and technical solutions

Delta Wellbeing is an award-winning local authority trading company and a centre of excellence for Technology Enabled Care. It has grown significantly since it was established in 2018 and provides 24/7 bilingual call monitoring and other support services including telecare and telehealth alarm monitoring, TEC installation, community welfare response, lone working monitoring and out-of-hours housing repairs to local authorities, health boards, housing associations, educational settings, private companies and residents.

As a customer assistant, you'll be at the frontline of delivering exceptional customer service. You will be handling inbound calls from customers in need of urgent out-of-hours assistance, efficiently allocating jobs to contractors, and ensuring timely responses to emergencies.

We're looking for individuals with empathy and compassion, who have experience of working in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure. Full flexibility to work day and night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays is required. Candidates should also have a good understanding of computers with knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Awareness of the issues associated with working with older or vulnerable people is desirable, along with information about social care/other local authority or housing association services and legislation like GDPR.

What you will do will be varied day to day, but the key drivers for the role are:

  • Provide direct operational support to the Delta One trading desk, including trade capture and processing for various Delta One products such as equity swaps, ETFs, and futures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of trades into risk systems and facilitate client allocation.
  • Perform reconciliation of trading positions, P&L estimates, and resolve any discrepancies in partnership with middle office and product control teams.

  • Monitor and manage intraday and end-of-day exposures, ensuring all positions are within limits and appropriately reflected.

What we will need from you:

  • Experience in a related financial operations, middle office, or trading support role, preferably within an equities or derivatives context.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial products, particularly Delta One instruments (e.g., equity swaps, ETFs, futures), and their lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, with a strong aptitude for data management and analysis; VBA or other programming/scripting ability (e.g., Python, SQL) is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with traders and various internal groups in a fast-paced environment.

Delta-V Automation Engineer - Life Sciences Manufacturing


We are seeking multiple experienced Delta-V Automation Engineers to join a high-profile life sciences manufacturing facility in Belfast. These roles focus on commissioning, testing, and start-up activities within a GMP-regulated environment. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with hands-on Delta-V experience to contribute to complex, fast-paced pharmaceutical projects.


Contract Details:

  • Duration: 6-month rolling contract (with long-term potential)
  • Location: Onsite in Belfast
  • Hours: 39 per week
  • Start Date: Immediate / short notice ideally
  • Competitive rate based on experience


What You’ll Do:

  • Execute commissioning and qualification (C&Q) on Delta-V-controlled systems
  • Develop, test, and troubleshoot Delta-V software configurations (modules, phases, graphics)
  • Support loop checks, I/O verification, and system integration testing
  • Collaborate with process, CQV, and operations teams to ensure system readiness for production
  • Perform software and hardware modifications under change control
  • Generate and maintain GMP-compliant project documentation
  • Support system handover, FAT/SAT, and site acceptance activities


What We’re Looking For:

  • 3–4 years’ experience with Emerson Delta-V DCS in commissioning/testing roles
  • Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotech manufacturing
  • Knowledge of batch process control (ISA-88) and GMP documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Degree in Automation, Electrical, Chemical, or related engineering discipline
