Hours: Monday to Friday 37 hours per week
Location: Cambridgeshire / Huntingdon

Herts Resourcing Group (HRG) is currently working with a college in Cambridgeshire and we’re looking for a Assistant Head of Department for the Multi-Skills & Trowel Trades team.
Must have:
- Must hold Level 5 teaching qualification li>You must have construction industry qualification
- Must hold or working towards IQA Award or equivalent
- You must hold a valid drivers licence and have access to a vehicle
- The right to work in the UK.
Ideally have:
- DBS on the update service.
- Experience leading a team
- Experience of managing study programmes

Assistant Head of Department – Construction (Trowel Trades & Multi-Skills)
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Assistant Head of Department to support the leadership of a busy Construction & Building Services team, with a focus on Trowel Trades and Multi-Skills .
In this key role, you’ll assist in managing curriculum delivery, staff performance, and quality assurance across multiple campuses. You’ll help ensure high teaching standards, excellent learner outcomes, and strong industry links, while also supporting course development, student recruitment, and team coordination.
What we’re looking for:
- p>Level 5 teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLLS, or equivalent)

Industry-relevant construction qualification

Experience leading or supervising staff within education/training

Strong knowledge of awarding body requirements and quality processes

A proactive, organised and team-focused approach
