The Opportunity
In this exciting opportunity you will be responsible for deployment of local software, updates, patches and activating the latest and greatest features for our restaurants from our global restaurant and digital platforms. You will also be accountable for the technology testing strategy and quality assurance process ensuring that testing and deployment is repeatable and ongoing continuous improvement and automation is in place.
What will my accountabilities be?
+ Create and establish a routine for delivering accurate and timely updates on team progress and key metrics consistently helping your senior leader stay informed to make data-driven decisions, foster trust and reliability within the leadership structure.
+ Ensuring that the team has well-defined goals aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives. Regularly track and review performance metrics to ensure accountability and continuous improvement across the team.
+ Accountable for the frequent deployment of new global platform releases into our restaurants, working closely with the LIOM Segment and Global product/platform owners to understand what releases will be available when and ensuring that all new software deployments are planned and sequenced to minimise restaurant disruption.
+ Accountable for liaising with Segment and Global product teams accountable for quality improvements across all global products
+ Liaise closely with Change Planning team to share what releases will go live when and therefore the timeline for new features becoming available to the business for activation.
+ Continued focus on engaged collaboration between Service Delivery Leadership, and fast management of incident remediation and deployment planning inclusive of production incident pulse checks.
+ Accountable for deployment readiness; ensuring your direct direct reports that are market product owners are managing restaurants & partners to complete necessary checks needed to be performed and completed ahead of any deployment activity.
+ Work closely with the Pricing and Promotions Leadership to ensure a streamline approach and support to all future promotional activity is tested end to end and supported through deployment to the estate on all channels.
+ Lead your team in accordance with the company values and develop talent and career progression within the team. Ensure that succession planning is in place and that there are no key individual dependencies.
+ Accountable for communication with restaurants about the status and timing of planned deployments and engagement with Technology Adoption team.
+ Confident creation and delivery of presentations to Regional, National, Senior Leadership and Tech Committee groups.
+ Accountable for the deployment budget and reporting of spend against plans.

OQC currently has an exceptional opportunity for a talented Deployment Project Manager to help deliver on the world's first Quantum Computer deployments into collocated data centres both in the UK and Globally.

Role

As the Deployment Project Manager you’ll manage and plan all future deployments of our Quantum Computers into multiple global locations. You will have full end-to-end responsibility for all deployments, create real-time project reporting for all execs, build and manage existing/new customer relationships and work closely with cross functional teams to ensure a smooth deployment before passing over to a service operations team. 

This is a hands-on role; you’ll be expected to create project plans, and also play a large part in the actual delivery of the project. With a global presence, some international travel will be required and the ability to work across different time-zones. 

This is a pivotal role in OQC’s growth over the next few years. You’ll get the opportunity to help shape our deployments and the opportunity to work on projects that are unique, setting the trend in the quantum computing world.

About the Role This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain for our data center and GPU infrastructure deployments. You will work closely with deployment teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal inventory management, cost-effective procurement, and timely delivery of critical hardware components. The role requires deep understanding of data center hardware supply chains, GPU market dynamics, and the ability to navigate complex global logistics challenges. What You’ll be Doing Supply chain strategy and planning Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies for data center hardware and GPU components Create and maintain accurate demand forecasts in collaboration with deployment and business teams Design and implement inventory management policies and procedures Vendor management and procurement Help to manage relationships with key suppliers including GPU manufacturers, server OEMs, and network equipment vendors Inventory and logistics management Optimize inventory levels across multiple data center locations to minimize carrying costs while ensuring availability Coordinate global logistics operations including shipping, customs clearance, and warehouse management Manage inventory tracking systems and ensure accurate asset documentation Risk management and contingency planning Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including component shortages, geopolitical issues, and vendor dependencies Develop and maintain business continuity plans for critical supply chain disruptions Monitor market trends and component lifecycle management Cross-functional collaboration Work closely with deployment teams to understand hardware requirements and timelines Collaborate with finance teams on budget planning, cost analysis, and financial reporting Partner with engineering teams on component specifications and technical requirements Performance monitoring and reporting Track and report on key supply chain metrics including delivery performance, cost savings, and inventory turns Conduct regular supply chain reviews and present findings to senior management Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on performance analysis Key Objectives Ensure uninterrupted supply of critical data center and GPU hardware to support Nscale's rapid expansion Optimize total cost of ownership through strategic procurement and vendor negotiations Minimize deployment delays through proactive supply chain risk management and contingency planning Build and maintain strong strategic partnerships with key suppliers and OEMs Implement data-driven inventory management processes to balance cost and availability Support business growth by anticipating supply chain needs and securing long-term capacity Drive supply chain innovation and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and sustainability requirements Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Delivery Performance: Achieve 95% on-time delivery of critical components to deployment sites Cost Optimization: Deliver annual cost savings of 5-10% through strategic procurement initiatives Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels with less than 10% excess or obsolete stock Supplier Performance: Maintain 90% supplier performance rating across key metrics Supply Chain Risk: Zero critical deployment delays due to supply chain issues Contract Management: Complete 100% of major supplier contract renewals within planned timeframes Market Intelligence: Provide monthly supply chain risk assessments and market updates Process Efficiency: Reduce procurement cycle time by 20% through process improvements Sustainability: Implement and track sustainability metrics across the supply chain Stakeholder Satisfaction: Achieve 4.5/5 satisfaction rating from internal deployment teams About You (Skills / Qualifications Experience) 3 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in technology or data center industries Strong background in procurement and vendor management for complex hardware systems Experience with GPU supply chains and understanding of semiconductor market dynamics Knowledge of global logistics, customs regulations, and international trade requirements Experience with inventory management and demand forecasting techniques Technical knowledge and understanding Familiarity with data center hardware including servers, storage, networking equipment Understanding of GPU architectures and high-performance computing requirements Knowledge of component specifications and technical requirements for AI workloads Analytical and strategic skills Experience with contract negotiation and supplier relationship management Project management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive-level reporting Strong relationship-building skills for vendor and internal stakeholder management Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Nice to Have: Experience specifically with GPU or AI infrastructure supply chains Certification in supply chain management (APICS, CIPS, or similar) Experience with sustainability and ESG reporting in supply chains Understanding of data center construction and deployment processes Experience with automation tools and supply chain digitization Background in risk management or business
