Job Title: Design Assistant

Job Summary:

As a Design Assistant at Chrisanne Clover, you will support the design team in creating beautiful and functional ballroom dance dresses. This role involves assisting with design development, preparing materials, supporting fittings and production, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You will gain valuable hands-on experience in the design process while contributing to the delivery of high-quality products that reflect the Chrisanne Clover brand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the creation of design visuals through sketches, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and hand drawing.
• Assist with the preparation of fabric swatches and design presentations for internal reviews and client meetings.
• Assist in the production process, including the preparation of Tech Packs and Embellishment Instructions under guidance.
• Help with fabric orders, liaising with the Purchasing department under supervision.
• Organise design files, fabric libraries, and decoration samples.
• Support fittings both in-house and with clients.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• Degree in Fashion Design, Costume Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Previous internship, placement, or work experience in fashion, costume, or a design environment preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) with confidence in hand sketching.
• Basic knowledge of garment construction, pattern cutting, or sewing is desirable but not essential.
• Strong organisational and research skills with attention to detail.
• Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
