Key Responsibilities:

A Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in the design of pumps, or similar rotating equipment, is required for a busy engineering company.
You will provide high level engineering design work compiling detailed GA / assembly / component drawings and Bill of Materials (BoMs). The design work is very project based so you will work to agreed milestones and deliverables for project and production completion.
Qualified to HNC / HND level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, you will have a minimum of 2 years experience in Mechanical Design, ideally within mechanical rotating equipment. With a fundamental understanding and knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, you will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards and specifications and be proficient in 3D / CAD, ideally Solidworks. Experience of Bill of Material creation and maintenance using an ERP system is also required. Any experience in engineering calculations including Finite Element Analysis and / or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) would be beneficial.
