Senior Design Verification Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Design Verification Engineer to join our hardware development team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the functional correctness and robustness of complex digital and mixed-signal ASIC designs through advanced verification methodologies. You will work closely with architects, designers, and other verification engineers to deliver high-quality silicon solutions.
**Responsibilities**
+ Develop and execute comprehensive verification plans for complex mixed-signal ASIC designs.
+ Create and maintain testbenches using SystemVerilog/UVM.
+ Write and debug test cases to verify functionality, performance, and corner cases.
+ Perform block-level and full-chip verification, including simulation, coverage analysis, and regression run/debug.
+ Collaborate with design engineers to understand specifications and identify verification requirements.
+ Analyze and resolve issues found during verification and post-silicon validation.
+ Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving verification processes and infrastructure.

Qualifications
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
+ 5+ years of experience in digital and/or mixed-signal design verification.
+ Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM, and simulation tools (Synopsys VCS, Cadence Xcelium).
+ Solid understanding of digital design fundamentals, RTL design, and ASIC development flows.
+ Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl) for automation.
+ Familiarity with formal verification, assertion-based verification, and coverage-driven verification.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

What you'll do:
+ As part of the Mechanical Design team you will work directly with engineers, suppliers and CM's to ensure components and sub-assemblies are designed & manufactured to specification.
+ Design components, assemblies, jigs and fixtures relating to optical engines used in AR glasses
+ Own the relationship between design teams, suppliers and CM's to ensure they have the capability and processes to meet part & assembly technical specifications. This will include international travel to Suppliers & CM's sites included in Snap's global supply chain in Europe and Asia.
+ Work closely with other Spectacles teams to gather relevant information and share your knowledge about the parts & assemblies to further improve requirements and specifications, providing vital feedback from the suppliers and CM's
+ Bridge the gap between Mechanical Design, Global Supply Chain and Quality to ensure parts can be manufactured, measured and delivered to Snap's specifications and requirements.
+ Work directly with suppliers and our CM's to assess, monitor and improve Measurement SOP's, Manufacturing SOP's and general engineering competencies
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

These large and complex projects have many design elements and requirements, and it is critical that all the design work undertaken fully takes into account the complete range of needs and delivers a design that meets its functional objectives.
As a "Secondary Design - Verification and Validation Engineer", you will be responsible for reviewing the key elements of the light current systems design (Protection, control, automation, telecommunication, Metering etc) across a range of projects, and assessing whether it meets the required quality, safety, customer and regulatory standards, and fully satisfies the operational needs of the Customer. Should any area of concern be identified, you will work closely with, and advise the design team, on the best way to resolve the issue.
**Job Description**
**Responsibilities**
+ The "Secondary Design - Verification and Validation Engineer", while being independent from the project team, will work with the engineering leader on each project to develop a specific design quality plan.
+ This plan will define the actions and 'hold points' where the "V&V Engineer" will review elements of the design and provide approval before proceeding to the next phase, along with the identification of any areas of risk or complexity that requires additional focus.
+ These actions will be a mix of independent assessment of design information, and the attendance at key design reviews. In addition, the V&V Engineer shall advise the design team as the work progresses and investigate any non-conformances for the purpose of continuous improvement.
+ This systematic approach shall be organised in a way to ensure that the design meets the customer's requirements, it's functional specification, and the required standards and legislation. It is also required to confirm that the interfacing and practical elements of the design (detail design) are correctly considered, and the design is fully coordinated with the other disciplines that make up the wider substation design.
