Ischebeck Titan is a family owned construction engineering company, that has engineering at the heart of our business. We design innovative bespoke temporary works, formwork, falsework etc that support some of the UK’s most ambitious construction projects.
We now have a great opportunity for a brilliant Chief Engineer or Engineering Director to join our leadership team, this is a unique and pivotal role in the business, driving technical excellence, product innovation and design quality across the business.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design integrity, structural verification and quality of all Ischebeck Titan designs and products.
- Develop and enforce engineering standards, design procedures and QA systems across the Design Department.
- Oversee product testing, certification and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with BS EN, Eurocodes and UKCA standards.
- Drive new product development, turning innovation into safe, efficient and cost-effective solutions for our customers.
- Provide technical leadership on complex projects, collaborating closely with sales and operations teams and clients.
- Sit on the Leadership team to help drive strategy, and provide your expertise and experience to enhance the team and shape the future of the business.
About You
- Chartered (or near Chartered) Structural or Civil Engineer (CEng).
- Strong background in temporary works, formwork, falsework or construction systems.
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams, manage technical standards and deliver excellence across multiple locations.
- A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to solving engineering challenges.

As Senior Director, Snyk Open Source Engineering at Snyk you will own the engineering team for Snyk Open Source, our >$100m ARR Software Composition Analysis product. You will build and run a world-class engineering team which solves technically challenging problems in dependency analysis, security intelligence and remediation, leading the team to innovate strongly, deliver predictably, and delight Snyk's customers.
You'll be a technical leader that thrives on the details of building delightful developer tools and high-volume production systems, whilst at the same time being able to lead and grow your team at scale. You'll be equally happy explaining our roadmap to customers, making trade-offs to deliver the right outcomes for our business, and helping to solve technical issues directly.
What You'll Do:
- Build a long term strategy for Snyk Open Source that delivers on business priorities and drive its execution, in collaboration with cross-functional partners and peers.
- Be an owner of the Snyk Open Source product as a business, optimizing for and trading off the competing requirements of innovation, support, cost, reliability and performance to maximize benefit for that business long-term.
- Create and execute on organizational strategy which proactively identifies requirements for senior talent, and grow or hire to fill gaps as required.
- Lead cross team collaboration across Snyk to quickly resolve issues and risks, and unblock progress.
- Establish clear success criteria for direct reports and the group, monitoring and course-correcting as required.
- Build a high-performing, engaged, world-class team that can deliver on the technical challenge of program analysis in the security domain.
- Serve as role model, mentor and advisor to Snyk's most senior engineering talent.
What You Bring:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical leadership roles in software engineering.
- Proven track record of successfully leading software engineering organizations of 75+ in a product context.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proficiency in software development, system architecture, and operational practices.
- Familiarity with modern software development methodologies and tools.
- Excellent leadership and influencing skills to collaborate effectively with senior technical and managerial stakeholders.
- Strong analytical abilities to support technical decisions with data-driven metrics.
- Exceptional communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Accountabilities
- Lead and scale engineering teams for Collaboration Services and Developer Edge, building a high-performing organization and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Deliver customer-centric products while maintaining platform health, code quality, maintainability, and managing technical debt.
- Own platform reliability and security, defining SLOs/SLIs, driving incident readiness, and embedding security by design in APIs and services.
- Set technical direction for collaboration capabilities and API/edge architecture, including microservices, multi-region deployments, service mesh, rate-limiting, and observability.
- Run design and deployment reviews for high-impact changes, ensuring scalable rollouts, monitoring, and safe rollback paths.
- Hire, grow, and retain top engineering talent; mentor senior ICs and managers; create succession plans and influence technical culture across groups.
- Partner with Product and Design to define roadmaps, outcomes, and customer feedback loops; communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Establish operational excellence for distributed teams across time zones, using data-driven prioritization and clear accountability.
Requirements
- 11+ years of broad system architecture and engineering experience across multiple languages and frameworks.
- 3+ years leading engineering organizations of ~20+ engineers across multiple teams.
- Proven experience building highly available, secure, customer-facing microservices and multi-region cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Expertise in developer platforms: API design/lifecycle, gateways, service mesh, auth, quotas, telemetry, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong track record in engineering excellence: automated testing, CI/CD, TDD, deployment safety, and incident management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence execs, product teams, and engineers; mentor senior talent.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum at scale and product-engineering collaboration best practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in English; legal eligibility to work in Bulgaria.
- Nice to have: experience with collaboration/work management products, prior ownership of API Gateways (Kong, Envoy, Apigee), developer portals, SDK governance, and GDPR/data privacy awareness.
