We are looking for experienced Overhead Linesman to join our teams working on our Projects up to and including 11kv works in Scotland. The Linesperson will be involved in construction and maintenance of the existing networks, upgrading infrastructure and carrying out emergency repairs as required. This includes transformer changing, oil sampling and LV networks.
We have secured multi year frameworks with multiple DNOs, providing support across their ED2 Distribution Network Programme. We will be providing services across all DNO assets, including overhead lines, underground cables and substation construction and upgrading.
Here are some of the tasks you would be involved in.
- Carry out all work in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of recipient DNO.
- Install, build and refurbish overhead lines up to 132KV.
- Conform to all instructions stated in method statements and risk assessments.
- Liaise with Site Supervisors regarding and specific site issues.
- Construction and maintenance of the distribution Network from LV up to 132kV.
We'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate.
- Experience in BLX or equivalent HV systems.
- Construction and maintenance of the 33/66Kv bulk supply network.
- 132Kv lattice steel towers would be of an advantage.
- Working on LV networks both open wire and ABC would be advantageous.
- Replacing HV pole mounted transformers up to 200KVA.
- Working with MEWPs, safe operation of MEWPs.
- Experience of working on an Overhead Lines electrical networks
- Hold a valid EUSR or CSCS Card
- DNO operational authorisations
- Full Driving Licence

Responsibilities
- Accountable for the engineering and design of private networks and associated electrical infrastructure. Supporting the development of design for Electrical Distribution projects for our project in slough.
- Responsible for the planning, designing and provision of technical information and advice to internal and external client for complex electrical construction works on large HV and EHV networks and associated plant and equipment, including specifying design, installation and commissioning procedures.
- Liaison with Transmission and/or Distribution operators to support the development of the proposed scheme and provide technical leadership to prepare a variety of complex engineering deliverables for EHV and HV electrical distribution networks designs, complying with the relevant design standards and industry legislation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to produce detailed design and functional specifications for electrical network infrastructure ensuring solutions and specifications are represented in a contractually effective way to hold strong and resilient contracts, while supporting the tendering and execution of delivery contracts to ensure that design requirements are adhered to.
