Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage the organization's diversity and inclusion strategy.
- Partner with HR and leadership teams to embed D&I principles into talent acquisition, development, and retention processes.
- Design and deliver D&I training programs and workshops for employees at all levels.
- Lead the formation and support of employee resource groups (ERGs).
- Conduct regular D&I audits and assessments to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and manage D&I metrics and reporting dashboards.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on D&I-related matters.
- Collaborate with external organizations and experts to stay abreast of D&I trends and best practices.
- Develop communication plans to promote D&I initiatives and progress internally and externally.
- Advise on inclusive policies and practices to ensure fairness and equity.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion roles, preferably within a corporate setting.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful D&I strategies and programs.
- Strong understanding of D&I best practices, legal frameworks, and current trends.
- Excellent facilitation, training, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with ERGs is highly desirable.
- A passion for creating equitable and inclusive environments.

About the Role:
You will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Overseeing daily safeguarding operations, including alerts, referrals, risk assessments, and follow-up visits, ensuring timely and proportionate responses
- Acting as the Service's professional lead for safeguarding, providing advice, guidance, and updates to the Designated Safeguarding Lead and senior leadership team
- Developing clear procedures, training, and risk assessments to ensure safe, consistent, and high-quality delivery of safeguarding and youth engagement work
- Building strong partnerships with schools, youth organisations, and other key stakeholders to deliver innovative and impactful community interventions
- Leading and supporting a multidisciplinary team, ensuring they are trained, motivated, and delivering to a high standard

Experience and Qualifications Required:
Essential:
Qualifications & Training:
- Degree-level education or equivalent, extensive practical experience within safeguarding, youth inclusion, or a related field
- Level 1, 2, and 3 Children's & Adults Safeguarding Training (or willingness to obtain within agreed timescales)
- Prevent, FGM, Modern Day Slavery, and Exploitation training (or willingness to obtain). IOSH qualification or working towards
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
Experience:
- Proven experience in safeguarding case management and/or youth inclusion work at a strategic or operational level.
- Demonstrable management and leadership skills, including line management of staff or volunteers
- Experience working with multi-agency partners (e.g., children's services, education, youth justice, voluntary sector)
- Strong influencing, consultation, and communication skills, with confidence to act as a subject matter expert
- Experience in designing or delivering safeguarding training and promoting learning across teams
- Track record of engaging effectively with diverse communities and vulnerable groups
Desirable
Qualifications & Training:
- Expert witness report writing
- Working towards Level 4 Children's & Adults Safeguarding Training
- Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification
Experience:
- Experience in teaching, training delivery, or curriculum design
- Experience leading youth inclusion initiatives (e.g., cadets, mentoring programs, targeted interventions)
- Experience presenting business cases or funding bids for program development

Purpose: Long Term Futures are working with a large Secondary School, OFSTED rated Good, to appoint an Inclusion and Isolation Manager on a temp-to-perm basis. You will support the school in addressing the needs of students who need specialised support to overcome behavioural, emotional or social obstacles to learning.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage student behaviour and oversee the isolation room, directly intervening in behavioural incidents.
- Welcome, engage with, and provide pastoral care to students in the isolation room.
- Create a calm, focused environment with minimal disruption.
- Assess students to identify behavioural support needs and implement personalised interventions.
- Empower students in isolation to build self-esteem, motivation, and positive behaviour.
- Offer feedback on progress, achievements, behaviour, and attendance.
- Identify students requiring curriculum adjustments due to behavioural needs and collaborate with the SENCO for additional support.
- Observe lessons and assist teachers with behaviour management strategies, including developing and implementing Behaviour IEPs.
- Lead small group mentoring and one-on-one behavioural support sessions in partnership with Heads of Year.
Role Requirements:
- Strong background in managing challenging behaviour.
- Ability to assess individual behavioural needs and implement tailored support plans.
- An up-to-date Enhanced DBS and two professional references are a requirement for this role.
