**A Day in the Life**



The Digital Technologies Business Unit (DTBU) at Medtronic develops cloud, AI, and extended reality technologies for the operating room (OR) to augment surgical training and improve patient outcomes. Our goal is to deliver safer surgery around the world. Our Touch Surgeryu2122 solution is an innovative video management and data analytics platform for hospitals that allows surgeons, OR staff, and trainees to securely access videos of their procedures within minutes after surgery to review and learn from the case.



The Technical Communications team at Digital Technologies seeks a Technical Writing Manager to take on leadership of the team. In this role, you will lead a team of technical writers in creating clear, concise, user-centric documentation. You will oversee the development of various forms of technical content, such as release notes, newsletters, help articles, user guides, quick start guides, and technical specifications. You will collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, Customer Success, Medical Liasions, and Marketing managers to transform complex technical concepts into simple, user-friendly materials that enhance the user experience for a global userbase.



This people management role is positioned within the Product Team at Medtronic Digital Technologies, and reports to the Senior Director of Product Development.



**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:**



1- Team leadership


Manage, mentor, and develop a team of technical writers.
Set goals, responsibilities, and performance expectations for the team.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, flexible work environment that empowers everyone to do their best work.



2- Writing and editing


Create and maintain technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, usability, and consistency.
Review and edit team members' work for quality and adherence to style and branding guidelines.
Publish and distribute user-facing technical content that resolves user issues and communicates the value of our video solution.



3- Project Management


Plan and manage documentation projects to ensure completion within agreed timelines.
Prioritize tasks and allocate team resources effectively.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align documentation with product development cycles and broader corporate communications.



4- Content management


Update documentation continuously to reflect changes in product functionality.
Optimize information architecture to maximize discoverability and accessibility by users.
Monitor performance metrics of technical content to identify opportunities for improvement.



5- Process improvement


Develop and implement documentation standards, tools, and workflows.
Act as administrator for our content management system, email system, translation database, and other communication tools.
Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in the field of technical communications.



**Required Knowledge and Experience:**


Bacheloru2019s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of professional writing experience.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Strong understanding of technical concepts, e.g., cross-platform development, cloud data management, video processing pipelines, machine learning, cybersecurity.
Proven leadership experience.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Willingness to travel with some overnight stays



Preferred candidates will have experience working in the medical technology industry and/or in software development, with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies. Familiarity with content management systems and version control tools is important, as is a strong attention to detailu2014especially the ability to identify orthographic inaccuracies in this job description, and remark on it in your cover letter. **Job Description**
U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services is one of the largest providers of corporate trust services in the world. Our clients look to us for trustee, agency, escrow, document custody and money market issuing services via our 48 domestic offices and three international offices.
We are currently recruiting for our European Corporate Trust business within the Data Management & Control Group. This team are responsible for a variety of tasks including but not exclusive to ensuring client compliance with deal documents, ensuring receivables are paid fully and in a timely manner, liaising with Finance department, ensuring clients financials and Compliance certs are provided in a timely manner and completing DMC's Projects to the level required from senior management within given timeframes.
Further to this, the team have responsibility for deal set up across various platforms (ACS, STA, CTAO, SEI, ABS Trans, VIPR, PIVOT, Issue Tracker) from the deal incept, supporting testing across the various platforms, gathering of tax documentation and billing, to name a few of the further tasks.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Deal Document Oversight - Ensuring that information required from clients relating to Deal documents are received and documented correctly in a timely fashion. Escalating any issues arising from this to Relationship Management in a time sensitive manner.
+ Management of aged receivables process - interacting with Relationship Managers, Transaction Managers, Client, Finance and Admin groups to ensure aged receivables are paid fully in a timely manner.
+ Deal Onboarding - Set up of deals across various systems, gathering of tax documentation, fee and new deal billing set up
+ Queries & Escalations - Acting as escalation contact for business line queries and requests between the business line and client correspondents.
+ Participate in Bank projects and UAT testing as required
+ Assist with Business line reporting
+ Escalating of issues in a timely manner to management
+ Change Management - continuous looking for improvements, efficiencies and enhanced controls in DMC processes.
+ Completion of IAR new deal and termination reviews, inclusive of clearing exceptions
+ Ability to work on own initiative to 100% accuracy
+ Understanding of regulations and risk attached to the role and when to escalate to avoid issues
**Basic Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
+ Three to five years of experience in trust and securities operational functions
+ Three to five years of management experience
**Preferred Skills/Experience**
+ Good knowledge of trust and securities operational functions, systems, procedures, products and services
+ Good knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory and accounting principles which directly affect Wealth Management & Securities Services business lines and clients

As an experienced Technical Writing Lead, you will be a key player on the Midnight team developing ground-breaking technology in one of the most exciting fields in the world. Midnight protects fundamental freedoms of association, commerce, and expression for developers, companies, and individuals. 

In this leadership role, you will oversee the creation and evolution of high-quality, developer-focused technical content while managing and mentoring a small team of technical writers. Reporting to the Head of Marketing,  you will play a crucial role in translating complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation and papers for developers who will become an essential part of the Midnight ecosystem.   • Lead the technical writing function, managing and mentoring a small team of technical writers to ensure alignment, consistency, and continuous development across all documentation efforts. 
  • Set documentation strategy with the Midnight Foundation to establish and maintain documentation standards, process, and style guides that scale with Midnight’s ecosystem and development community. 
  • Own core documentation delivered. Work with Engineering and Product teams to create, edit and maintain documentation and other assets, including user guides, release notes, product documentation, white papers, and more. 
  • Drive collaboration and cross-functional alignment between Shielded Technologies and the Midnight Foundation,  ensuring proper communication during product releases and working closely with Developer Relationships, Product, Engineering and Marketing. 
  • Ensure that all documentation is designed with a user-centric perspective, making complex topics accessible to a diverse audience.
  • Ensure documentation complies with industry standards, any relevant regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Build feedback loops and mechanisms for collecting and incorporating user and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve the quality and relevance of the documentation.

Requirements

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Communications, Technical Writing) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Writer and Team Leader, with a strong portfolio showcasing your previous work.
  • Solid understanding of blockchain technology and its principles is desirable.
  • Proficiency in tools commonly used for technical writing, such as Markdown, Git, Docusaurus, revision control, and documentation platforms.
  • Experience with programming and using APIs
