Our client, a rapidly growing e-commerce enterprise, is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Operations Manager to lead their logistics and fulfilment operations. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to shape and scale critical supply chain functions from the ground up. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods, from inventory management to final delivery, whilst maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of the e-commerce logistics and fulfilment process, including warehousing, inventory management, order processing, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance delivery performance.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and carriers, negotiating contracts and monitoring service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Implement and optimise warehouse management systems (WMS) and other operational technologies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a remote team of logistics coordinators and warehouse staff.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, tracking performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges and bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure seamless end-to-end customer experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all logistics functions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in e-commerce logistics and operations management.
  • Proven experience in managing warehousing, fulfilment, and transportation operations.
  • Strong understanding of WMS, ERP systems, and other supply chain technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic operational plans.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance metric tracking.
  • Experience with carrier negotiations and 3PL management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
  • Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs is a plus.
