Weatherford have a great opportunity for an experienced Repair & Maintenance (R&M) Technician to join the team at Altens, Aberdeen. The R&M Technician is a hands-on technical role responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of oil and gas field tools at Weatherford's Aberdeen facility. The position involves working with specialized equipment and following detailed technical procedures to prepare tools for field deployment.
**Responsibilities:**
Technical Duties
+ Perform complete maintenance cycle: receiving, dismantling, repairing, and refurbishing field tools using technical manuals and procedures.
+ Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments to determine dimensional requirements.
+ Repair machines, equipment, and structures using specialized tools and testing devices.
+ Complete all required documentation, work orders, and quality checks throughout the maintenance process.
+ Operate lifting equipment, forklifts, and other machinery for safe movement of equipment.
+ Process incoming and outgoing shipments with proper documentation.
Safety & Compliance
+ Maintain highest standards of HSE compliance and follow Weatherford's Rules to Live By.
+ Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
+ Work safely with hazardous materials, radioactive elements, and explosives.
+ Demonstrate awareness of NDT, NDE, and ATEX policies and principles.
Quality & Operations
+ Follow Weatherford's Quality Management System and contribute to continuous improvement.
+ Maintain accurate time tracking in the Work Order system.
+ Support LEAN initiatives and efficiency improvement programs.
+ Maintain equipment, facilities, and work areas in safe condition.
**Requirements:**
+ 5-8+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry is preferred.
+ Experience with hydraulics and mechanics would be beneficial.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
+ Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
+ Good reading, writing, and time management skills.
+ Physical capability to perform required tasks.
+ Experience with quality control processes.

Position Overview:
The (E&I) Electrical and Instrumentation Technician plays a crucial role on shift as part of the operations team, reporting to the Lead Op & Shift Manager as part of a 5-shift system, ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of electrical and instrumentation systems.
