As an Early Years Educator , you will deliver an engaging and diverse activity programme while helping to provide a safe, supportive, and caring environment. You will ensure that every aspect of each individual child’s development is fully supported and that high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained at all times.
Working alongside a fantastic team, you will be supported every step of the way to help you gain the skills and confidence to truly get stuck in.
About You
Being a great team player is essential and you should also enjoy the buzz of a busy environment. No day will ever be the same, so you should be happy to try new things and chat to lots of different people.
Key responsibilities will include maintaining and following all Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times. You should be proactive in activity planning, conducting child observations, and updating development records on a regular basis. It is essential to maintain confidentiality in all matters relating to children, their families, and the business. Additionally, you will support the day-to-day care and routines of the children.
Normal working hours are 8.15 AM to 5.45 PM.
This role is based on a five-day working pattern. Start and finish times may vary depending on shift patterns or operational needs.
Skills & Experience
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare , with a good knowledge of the EYFS
- Holding a Food Hygiene Level 2 or 3 certificate is an advantage
- Hold a Paediatric First Aid Certificate is an advantage
- Have good communication skills
- Demonstrate a proactive, problem-solving attitude
- Be confident in working independently when required, while also being a strong team player
- Have the ability to relate to a wide range of people
