What you'll do
You'll be the go-to expert for sustainability and social value, helping us and our customers make a real difference. Here's how you'll do it:
- You'll lead the delivery of our customer's social value plans, ensuring initiatives are impactful, well-communicated, and measurable.
- You'll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather and analyse environmental and social data aligned with key frameworks.
- You'll develop and implement sustainability strategies within a key account leadership team.
- You'll engage stakeholders to create IT carbon baselining methodologies and build capabilities that support ESG goals.
- You'll identify and grow revenue opportunities that align with ESG objectives, leading workshops and presentations to share our Purpose and drive shared success.
Who you are
We're looking for someone who's passionate about sustainability and ready to make things happen:
- You'll bring experience in Sustainability, Social Value, CSR, or relevant roles in Vodafone Business or the energy sector.
- You'll understand Vodafone's Purpose agenda and social value frameworks like TOMs and the UK Government's Social Value Model.
- You'll have a strong track record of delivering projects on time and to spec.
- You'll know how to manage external partners to create win-win outcomes.
- You'll be confident engaging with customers to shape their sustainability goals.
- You'll be skilled at spotting opportunities and building capabilities around ESG.
- You'll be comfortable working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to develop sustainability resources.

About this Opportunity
This is an opportunity to bring your experience in sustainability reporting, frameworks, governance and controls to Lloyds Banking Group where you'll play a key role in delivering our sustainability ambitions.
You'll be part of the Group Sustainable Business team which sits at the centre of the Group and plays an important role in enabling Lloyds Banking Group's purpose ambitions and activities which are critical to the delivery of the Group's strategy and helping Britain Prosper. These include defining the ambitions and enablement actions across key areas such as affordable homes, financial empowerment, regional development, transition to net zero and protecting nature.
As Manager, Reporting and Controls in Group Sustainable Business you'll be:
- Contributing to, and assisting to shape aspects of the Group's sustainability reporting working with relevant key stakeholders across the Group
- Keeping up to date on the latest sustainability developments, trends, opinions and legislation to support the Group in ensuring it is alignment with the latest market developments
- Supporting the management of relevant internal reporting requirements including sustainability performance measurement metrics
- Supporting the coordination of internal governance processes and the production of papers for Group executive and Board level governance forums
- Assisting in the development of a Group double materiality process within the aligned with, and to support the requirements of incoming reporting standards and market expectations
- Working collaboratively with internal partners in the Finance, Audit, Business Units and Risk teams regularly to support the delivery of reports, governance packs, and key deliverables
- Supporting the GSB team controls environment, working in collaboration with Risk partners helping to manage key risks across business and operational activities within the team remit
- Supporting the Group to continue to embed its principles of doing business in a responsible, sustainable and inclusive way

What you'll need:
We're looking for a driven individual with experience in sustainability reporting, governance, frameworks and controls who would like to take their career to the next stage. Is this you? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
Key knowledge and skills that we are looking for:
- A strong technical understanding and experience of corporate sustainability, with a broad understanding of the environmental, social and governance issues that impact the financial sector
- Knowledge and experience of incoming, and current, voluntary and mandatory ESG standards such as ISSB, CSRD, CSDDD, UNGP's, TCFD, TISFD, The Equator Principles, GRI and SASB, and the ability to translate the impacts of these frameworks on the Group
- The ability to review and interpret sustainability KPI's and performance, and translate insights from raw data into proof points for strategic progress and narrative
- Experience in building and deploying the use of measurement tools such as performance scorecards
- Knowledge and experience of setting, building and reviewing sustainability risks and controls
- Strong working knowledge and experience in working with leading external bodies such as UNGC, IFRS, EU EFRAG, and UNEP-FI. An established relationship with key bodies is considered a plus
- Exceptional and demonstratable experience in stakeholder engagement, relationship building and collaboration
- A focus on detail and presentation standards
- The ability to talk about, and translate business concepts, ideas or facts to communicate information in a compelling and memorable way
- A keenness to innovate to go faster by taking responsibility for challenging existing processes; being an early adopter of change and viewing advancements in technology as opportunities to help us deliver for our internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to inspire others by building rapport and gaining commitment through strong personal identity. Embracing diverse viewpoints; demonstrated in the way you do business and collaborate with others.

The ideal candidate will:
Have an interest in in ethical and sustainable shopping;
Be reliable and able to work as part of a team;
Have the ability to work within agreed shop guidelines;
Be able to use PCs in order to access planograms and SBO guides, or willing to learn;
Be available to work a minimum of one 4 hour shift per week.
