Information & Education Manager

Salary: £31,235 - £39,044 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

As an Information & Education Manager at FCC Environment, you will play a key role in promoting waste minimisation, reuse, and recycling across Suffolk. Working closely with Suffolk County Council and other stakeholders, you will develop and deliver communications campaigns to engage residents and Recycling Centre (RC) users.

This is a full-time role, working five days per week.

What will you be doing?

- Developing and delivering interactive talks to schools, community groups, and other organisations to promote recycling and waste minimisation.
- Creating and implementing a Recycling Centre communications plan with FCC, Suffolk County Council, and stakeholders.
- Running targeted campaigns, producing communications materials such as leaflets, signage, press releases, and website content.
- Managing social media content and engaging with public comments and queries.
- Facilitating customer feedback processes, including surveys and improvement plans.
- Building partnerships with local charities and community groups to promote reuse activities and increase social value.
- Producing reports and data analysis to monitor performance and improve service delivery.
- Conducting site audits to ensure service standards are met and customer experience is positive.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a confident communicator and passionate advocate for environmental initiatives. You will need to be:

- An excellent presenter, comfortable speaking to diverse audiences such as schools, community groups, and stakeholders.
- Experienced in communications, ideally within an environmental, waste management, or educational setting.
- Skilled at producing clear, engaging written and visual content.
- Organised, proactive, and capable of managing projects independently.
- IT proficient, with experience using MS Office. Knowledge of desktop publishing would be a bonus.
- Customer-focused, with the ability to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement.
- Creative and enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in promoting recycling and sustainability.
