The SEN / SEND Tutor role:
  • This role will involve providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD / SLD), or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
  • These young people are referred to us by local authorities and schools and will require some level of support in their educational and social-emotional journey
  • If selected, your role will be to provide this support via flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities:
  • Planning each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring
  • Providing the young person with holistic and engaging sessions which meet their needs and advance their educational and social-emotional journey
  • Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on the young person's progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements:
  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
  • Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
  • Two professional references
  • You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online assignments

Coaching Education Pathway (CEP)

Coaching programme for the new season, The idea behind our CEP is to give coaches the opportunity and the time to develop as a coach. We would like to educate candidates in the technical, physical, psychological and social requirements of modern football.

We will develop candidates' ability to plan, prepare, deliver and reflect on coaching sessions for the development of players, practical contact evenings and 1-1 mentoring through our outstanding coaching staff.

We will support your development in game understanding and tactical knowledge, the importance of area size, practice transitions and progressions in sessions. We know that with our Technical Development & Football coaching curriculum and our experienced coaching staff, we can work with coaches to progress them hopefully into part or full-time employment in sport and/or academy football.

  • To sign up and register with the FA to gain a FAN Number (before the application date)

  • Football/coaching knowledge
  • Clean driving licence/or must live locally to placement venue.
  • Must be available minimum 1 evening a week & 1 half term day for coaching/fixtures at WMF Centres, applies to COACHING PACK 1 & GK PACK.
  • Must be available minimum 2 evening a week & 1 half term day for coaching/fixtures at WMF Centres, applies to COACHING PACK 2.
  • Must be a minimum of 17 years old.

What the CEP day will include

Coaches will be expected to deliver practical sessions. However, there is no formal assessment, we just need to see you coach to indication a base level of coaching knowledge.

  • Observe training session
  • Lead a 10-15min session with a group of WMF Players
  • 5-10mins interview (this allows you to ask any questions)

  • Demonstrated success in leading teams through rapid change, with the ability to execute and embed new strategies at pace 
  • Strong track record of exceeding revenue targets and driving growth across complex public sector portfolios

  • These young people are referred to us by local authorities and schools and will require some level of support in their educational and social-emotional journey
  • If selected, your role will be to provide this support via flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities:
  • Planning each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring
  • Providing the young person with holistic and engaging sessions which meet their needs and advance their educational and social-emotional journey
  • Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on the young person's progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements:
  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
  • Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
  • Two professional references
  • You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online assignments

It is a strict requirement that you have the ability to work in a way that promotes the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.

SEN / SEND Tutor employment status:
  • This position involves engaging with us as a Worker, to provide short-term engagements as and when they arise
  • You will work through a contract for service and will be paid via PAYE
  • We do not offer any set amount of work nor expenses coverage
  • Our insurance covers the work you do for us
  • This is not a self-employed tutoring / self-employed teaching position
