Progress Teachers are supporting a thriving and supportive secondary school in Nottingham to appoint a dedicated Academic Support Assistant to work closely with students and staff to raise achievement and ensure every learner can succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Assist in lessons by working with individuals and small groups to ensure students understand tasks and remain engaged.
- Academic Intervention: Support the delivery of intervention programmes for students needing additional help with English, maths, or other core subjects.
- Progress Monitoring: Help track students’ academic progress and provide feedback to teachers and senior staff.
- Learning Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing and organising learning materials and classroom resources.
- One-to-One Mentoring: Provide focused academic support to students with additional needs or those at risk of falling behind.
- Collaboration: Work with subject teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to identify barriers to learning and implement strategies to overcome them.
- Promoting Independence: Encourage students to take responsibility for their learning and develop effective study habits.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience working with secondary-age students, ideally within an educational setting
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Level 3 / 4 in Supporting Teaching & Learning or equivalent (highly advantageous)
- Confident ability to support learning across a range of subjects and ability levels
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Being proactive, flexible, and committed to promoting student success
- Understand the importance of safeguarding and inclusion in a school environment

About the Role
As the School Administrator, you will oversee administrative functions, maintain school systems, and support the school's leadership team. You'll be at the heart of the school's operations, managing records, coordinating schedules, and assisting with key communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily office operations, handling calls, emails, and correspondence.
- Manage student records, attendance, and essential documentation, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Coordinate school events, staff schedules, and meetings.
