We are recruiting on behalf of our client in Stockport for an Electrical Assembly Technician. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday paying 14.83 - 16.28 per hour.
Typical duties include;
* Wire panel back-plates from circuit diagrams and panel layouts.
* Producing the highest possible standard of electrical build.
* Installation of control cubicle and field components.
* Terminate and secure external cabling to the correct points in the control panel.
* Install PLC & HMI programs
* Carry out earth continuity, insulation, and pre-delivery testing
* Where necessary, perform remote support and on-site support to breakdown situations.
In order to be successful you will need be;
* Time served electrician, with experience of industrial control system wiring and fault finding.
* Ideally 18th Edition certified.
* Experience of working with PLCs, servo drive systems and AC inverters.
* Must possess a current driver's license.

We are looking for candidates with experience in assembling of products ideally within an electrical background. All work will be subject to detailed Quality Checks so attention to detail will be crucial within the role.

To assemble electrical sub assemblies/machines for a range of packaging machinery for supply to the final build function within required timescales.
Reporting to: Electrical Team Leader
Key Responsibilities/Activities:
- Build sub assemblies/panels as required by supplied drawings
- Check and verify accuracy of assemblies/panels on completion
- Daily and accurate completion of records including timesheets and inspection status documentation
- Report any manufacturing and assembly errors to team leader so corrective action can be agreed
- To adhere to all required quality and H&S standards
- On an ad hoc basis you may be asked to visit other BLG/customer sites to assist with final build/installations/commissioning
- Keep your work area clean and tidy at all
- To work with other departments to be involved in setting priorities regarding assembly build to ensure all builds are complete within required timeframes
- To undertake other duties as may be required
Competencies/Skills:
- Good Attention to detail
- Good oral communication skills

- Willingness to learn/develop
- Ability to read engineering drawings/parts lists
Background/Experience:
- Successful completion of apprenticeship (C&G 204 or C&G 236)
