I am currently recruiting for a Technical Services Manager to work as part a large maintenance team covering a contract of commercial buildings. on a large healthcare site. You will manage a team of Supervisors (who in term manage the engineers) and will ensure that the contract KPI's and compliance are monitored and met.
Duties of the role include:
- Responsible for the delivery of electrical ppm and reactive maintenance across the sites
Ensuring KPI's and SLA's are hit, running reports and analysing workflow
Managing the maintenance team workload and call out rota, identifying training requirements through gap analysis and developing training programs.
Managing specialist subcontractors
Ensure Compliance through planned audits, inspections and testing of sites and accurate records are kept for this.
Work with the onsite client to make sure they're happy with the service provided.
Ensure the CAFM system is managed and kept up to date which will enable accurate KPI reporting.
Identifying opportunities for innovation and organic account growth.
Meet with client and auditors as necessary, and attend meetings ensuring all agreed actions completed.
Support the Head of Engineering to manage the hard services across the contract.
Work alongside the Energy team and the Minor works manager to deliver a full asset management for the customer.

The Role and Department
The Projects & Infrastructure team is responsible for the construction project delivery across all campuses forming the Durham University estate. The team manages a large capital programme from inception to completion, delivering projects on budget, on programme and to a high standard of quality. The improvement in facilities supports academic research and enhances the student experience.
As Electrical Building Services Engineer, you will effectively manage the provision, alteration and upgrade of the University's electrical infrastructure for the successful delivery of a range of projects/programmes, ensuring all works are carried out to the required quality standard, adhere to best practice principles and are compliant with current statutory/safety requirements and approved codes of practice.
You will deliver a professional, customer-focussed electrical engineering support service to all stakeholders, to facilitate the provision of a safe, effective and reliable electrical infrastructure specific to the needs of the University.
