Reporting into the Engineering Sector Leader, working as part of a multi-disciplined engineering team the successful candidate will carry out all required aspects of electrical project and maintenance tasks in a safe, timely and professional manner to defined standards and procedures across a wide range of manufacturing plant, equipment and facilities.
Contribute toward engineering continuous improvement initiatives in order to help drive plant reliability whilst also reducing meantime to repair. Provide weekday out of hours engineering call out support to the production department on a rota basis along with other engineering technicians.
Electrical Technician Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Promote and maintain a positive HSE culture to ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
- Carry out planned preventative, condition based and breakdown maintenance work as required.
- Carry out project installation work.
- Carry out basic instrumentation and mechanical work.
- Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation and document information.
- Identify areas of improvement with regard to plant availability, performance and efficiency.
Electrical Technician Applicants:
- Capable of working individually or as part of a team.
- Qualified to a minimum of ONC standard and undertaken a recognised electrical apprenticeship.

Equipment testing, fault finding and repair
Machine Setting in order to achieve maximum output
Identifying recurring problems with any equipment or machinery and implement corrective procedures
Maintaining equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose
The Experience you'll bring to the team:
Minimum of C&G or BTEC in Electrical Engineering
2 years manufacturing experience preferably in a FMCG site
