About Arondite
Arondite is building the next generation of autonomous systems, software and AI to solve the world's most important frontier problems across defence, critical industries and the humanitarian sector. We are looking for mission-driven engineers who want to be part of a highly motivated team and build things that make a positive difference.
The Role
We are looking for talented and flexible electronic systems engineers to take ownership of electrical and electronic elements from initial concept through to mass production. You will work closely with mechanical, software and AI engineers to build fully integrated products. Products will typically require the flexibility to integrate off the shelf parts seamlessly with bespoke circuit board designs.
You will engage in the full life cycle, from sourcing of components through to liaising with suppliers to create prototypes and setting up volume manufacturing. You will also support customers to analyse any failures and continuously identify areas for improvement.
As an early hire in a new startup, you will have the opportunity to set up and drive the electronics design within the company as we continue to expand and build a broader range of products. Regardless of experience level, you will review the output of other engineers and provide feedback - everyone’s input is valued.
Requirements
You should apply if you have:
- MSc or MEng in a technical or engineering subject
- Experience using a major ECAD tool, ideally Altium Designer, to create multi-layer printed circuit boards
- Solid grasp of the physics behind electronic design principles
- Experience of integrating electronics with software and mechanical designs to build complete systems
- Hands-on lab skills with instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, signal generators for testing and debug
- Practical abilities to make and modify electrical and electronic circuits
- Programming skills in C and/or Python
Note: The above describes the perfect candidate. Please don’t be deterred: we encourage you to apply even if you only partially fulfil this list!
Nice to have:
- Experience in RF engineering and antenna design
- Knowledge of safety design and electromagnetic compatibility requirements for European CE Marking
All engineers at Arondite are expected to:
- Communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team of hardware, software and AI engineers
- Be resourceful and open-minded in seeking solutions to engineering challenges
- Teach themselves to be the expert, if we don’t already have one in a particular area
Please note: This is an in-person position based in London. The successful candidate must by the start of their employment have permission to work in the UK.
Benefits
We offer:
- The opportunity to work with world-class engineers on a wide range of technologies
- Free training and education to quickly fill knowledge gaps
- The best resources and equipment required to do your job
- Exposure to working closely with customers on real problems
- Free meals and snacks in the office
- 7% employer pension contribution
- Employee Stock Options for everyone, so we all have a stake in the company’s growth
- Relocation support
