We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to assist with the engineering development of a high-profile defence project. You will assist with requirement and architecture definition and maturation, design new PCB level electronics to work alongside COTS modules and work with the wider project team to support integration and qualification.

You will be required to be on site a minimum of 3 days per week. This is an initial 6 month assignment, with the option for extension. This role is outside of IR35.

It is highly desirable for the client if you are a UK national with the ability to gain SC.

We are looking for consultants with experience in:

• Knowledge of all stages of the engineering development life cycle
• Experience of PCB level design (ideally Siemens Xpedition but not essential)
• Design solutions that meet DEF STAN 59-411, Mil-Std 461(EMC) / Mil Std 819 (HTV) & CE standards
• Design for EMC including EMC filter design
• Experience using DOORS

Based in Matfield just outside Tunbridge Wells in Kent, RVL are a long-established Design and Assembly company operating for over 30 years. We have an ever expanding, world-wide, client base. Reporting to the current Quality team, you will work closely alongside the Production team and Production Manager to evaluate the day-to-day robustness of the manufacturing process and systems, as listed in the QMS. • To maintain the calibration register and ensure that tools and equipment are calibrated on time where required, with minimal downtime.

For this role, you must be able to demonstrate all the following in an electronics environment:

• Experience in internal and external audits.
• Technically astute problem solver including tools such as 8D, PFMEA etc.
• Strong leadership, planning and decision making skills.
• Good reporting skills.
• Strong communicator, both internal and external.
• Ideally minimum HNC/HND in Engineering or Quality Assurance or considerable previous experience in related role.
• Experience with IPC qualifications such as IPC-A-610 would be an advantage.

• Proficiency in simulation and design tools such as SPICE and CAD software.
• Practical, hands-on approach to prototyping, soldering, testing, and troubleshooting.

Test Engineer

We are currently seeking a Test Engineer to join our Documentation Department in Basildon, Essex. This role involves executing comprehensive test protocols as part of the commissioning process for aerosol production lines assembled at our facility, prior to formal customer acceptance testing. The technician will ensure equipment functions as designed by following a detailed set of mandated tests, reporting results for project team review, and supporting Project Managers and Engineering Technicians.

Test Engineer's Key Responsibilities:

• Execute established test protocols
