- Review of thermal management, fire suppression and safety controls in line with UL9540A and UK HSE / Fire Safety expectations.
- Deep understanding of PCS technology, operations, fault contributions, inertia and reactive power flow behaviour under dynamic grid conditions.
- Assist in technical risk identification and resolution through active participation in HAZID, HAZOP and design review workshops.
- Monitor the operational performance of commissioned BESS assets across multiple sites, analyse system data to detect anomalies, and lead root cause investigations of technical issues. Collaborate with engineering, product, and O&M teams to implement corrective actions, system updates, or design changes aimed at improving reliability, safety, and performance of the BESS units.
Qualification and expertise:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or related discipline.
- 6+ years of experience working on utility-scale BESS projects.
- In-depth knowledge of battery technologies (LFP/NMC), PCS functionality, protection, communication interfaces, and system-level design.
