EPOS Field Engineer
Contract Length: Initial 4-week contract
Start Date: Week Commencing 20th October (Training WC 13th October)
Rate: 170 day (Inside IR35)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm (10-hour days, 8 hours expected on-site)
Location: Gloucester (depot-based collections/drop-offs)
Van & Mileage: Van provided (max 6 points on licence). Mileage paid at 30ppm based on 500 miles a week (pro rata).
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced EPOS Field Engineer to support a nationwide upgrade of lottery terminals across retail environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remove legacy EPOS lottery terminals and install updated hardware.
- Ensure correct setup, testing, and handover of equipment on-site.
- Travel to and from a designated regional depot to collect new kit and return old devices (likely on a fortnightly basis).
Requirements
- Strong, hands-on experience in EPOS installations and decommissions .
- Able to work independently, troubleshoot issues on-site, and follow structured rollout plans.
- Comfortable with daily travel and field-based work.
- Valid UK driving licence (max 6 points) - van provided.
What's Provided?
- Company van (personal use not permitted).
- Fuel & mileage based on a capped 500 miles per week (pro rata).

The successful CHP Field Engineer will ideally be based in or close to the M4 corridor – Bristol, Bath, Chippenham or close surrounding areas and will provide support to the Site Technicians offering advice and guidance during the servicing of gas engines. You will travel to customer sites conducting the operation, routine planned maintenance, fault diagnosis and rectification of gas engines.
CHP Field Engineer Requirements:
- Hold extensive knowledge and experience of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Knowledge and understanding of engines/generators.
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience of working with gas engines would be advantageous.
- Ability to take part in a callout rota.
- Flexible approach to travel.
- IT Literate.
- Hold full UK driving licence.

- Annual salary of £39,740 OTE up to £9K.
