As an Amazon Field Engineer, you will provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through site improvement and maintenance. You will be the u2018go tou2019 engineering resource for your region when technical advice is needed, and will use your subject matter expertise and engage with diverse teams to:
Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers in your region.
Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, including critical equipment, and event support.
Own the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions, which add capacity, improve availability, increase efficiency and sustainability.
Interface with internal data center operations team, data center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
Develop innovative solutions for AWSu2019s data centers.
Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
Initiate and lead engineering audits including on-site visits within Amazonu2019s data centers. Produce reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations and remediations.
Act as resident engineer during new construction projects. Support construction, commissioning, and turnover.

Basic Qualifications
- Bacheloru2019s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or 6+ cumulative years of experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation, oil/gas facilities. (Experienced Engineer)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using a variety of web based and other software tools for calculation and data processing. Direct experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.
- Experience as resident engineer or hands-on (in the field) design consultant or owneru2019s engineer. Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region. Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
- Ability to carry design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment/mass production. Basic understanding of both mechanical and/or electrical equipment/design related to data centers (Including but not limited to: uninterruptable power sources, diesel generators, electrical switchgear, power distribution units, variable frequency drives, automatic/static transfer switches, chillers (air-cooled and water-cooled), pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, CRAHs, fans, air economizers, water treatment, etc.)
- EPMS/SCADA/BMS Controls system experience (software and/or hardware). Chilled Water System experience. Liquid Cooling Experience

As an Amazon Field Engineer, you will provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through site improvement and maintenance. You will be the 'go to' engineering resource for your region when technical advice is needed, and will use your subject matter expertise and engage with diverse teams to:

Technical Support
Our Basingstoke Based client are looking for a Technical Support person to join their team for a 6 month period. The Technical support person will be responsible for providing 1st line technical support to customers.
Pay- 12.50 per hour -15.28 per hour (Dependant on experience)
Hours- Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week.

Duties:
-Deliver exceptional customer service at all times and seek managerial support when necessary.
-Prioritise support requirements
-Answer technical help-line calls to provide customers with advice on products

-Respond efficiently to email enquiries and call-back requests
-Record information about calls to improve service management
Requirements:
- Previous experience providing technical telephone support
- Previous experience in mechanical/engineering environment advantageous
- Great communication skills
- Proven experience working within a technical position

About the role
As a Technical Support Engineering Lead, you’ll manage and grow our support engineering team, ensuring our customers get world-class technical assistance and guidance. You’ll balance hands-on problem-solving with leadership responsibilities, driving improvements in processes, tooling, and knowledge-sharing while mentoring and enabling your team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, leadership, and customer success. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to deliver an exceptional support experience and scale how our users succeed with AI automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Technical Support Engineers
- Set team goals, track performance, and provide coaching for continuous growth
- Oversee support operations, ensuring timely, high-quality responses to customer issues
- Investigate and troubleshoot complex technical problems escalated from the team
- Establish and refine triage, escalation, and incident management processes
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product to surface recurring issues and drive product improvements
- Own and improve internal knowledge bases and external documentation practices
- Analyze support trends, metrics, and user feedback to reduce friction and improve experience
- Represent the support function in cross-functional discussions and planning
Requirements
- Proven experience in a technical support or engineering leadership role.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with modern web technologies.
- Comfortable reading and understanding TypeScript, Node.js, Javascript, and React.
- Experience working with APIs, logs, and cloud-based tools.
- Knowledge or exposure to AI/LLMs (Large Language Models) and their applications.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to coach and guide others.
- Calm and structured problem-solving approach in high-pressure scenarios.
- Experience managing or scaling support operations in a SaaS or AI/ML environment.
- Good knowledge of English and French. Bonus: Comfortable working in Spanish, Portuguese, French, or another language in our target regions.
