Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Appian Support & Development Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting and developing BPM-based solutions using the Appian suite. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across multiple Appian versions, strong problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of system integration, performance monitoring, and production support in both in-house and cloud-hosted environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide end-to-end support and development for Appian applications across versions 19.x, 20.x, 21.x and above.
- Lead application support engagements, including monitoring, progress tracking, reporting, and ensuring performance and availability.
- Develop and maintain Appian components including Sites, Records, UX design, and integrations using SAML, OAuth .
- Work on system integrations, mobile and portal applications, and extended interface development using Appian.
- Handle production support activities including incident management, problem resolution, and Appian plug-in development .
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery and support of Appian solutions.
- Apply best practices in Appian architecture and BPMN standards .
- Utilize tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Rally for tracking and documentation.
- Work with relational databases including Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL, with strong skills in SQL, data modelling, and database design .
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Appian application support and BPM development.
- Strong knowledge of Appian architecture, plug-in development, and system integrations.
- Experience with SOAP/REST APIs, HTML, XML, JSON .
- Proven ability in incident and problem management within production environments.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in sprint-based delivery models.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and stakeholder management.
Certifications (Mandatory):

The Product Engineering Support Technician is responsible for supporting the Product Engineering team based In Ilfracombe in a range of product life cycle activities (NPI, Mould tool changes, Material changes and Sustainment, internal NCR reduction and external POR reduction) for Cytiva.
This position reports to the Product Engineering Team Lead and is part of the Product Engineering team located in the clean room in Ilfracombe, UK and will be an on-site role.

+ Support the Product Engineering team to carry out experiments, trials, DOE and validation activity for both product and equipment improvements.
+ To provide written and verbal summaries of engineering studies carried out.
+ Set up and optimize manufacturing equipment to support the development of new products and machinery.
