Key responsibilities include leading R&D projects from concept through to pilot and production stages, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams of chemists, engineers, and technicians. You will conduct detailed process simulations, hazard analyses (HAZOP), and feasibility studies. Developing and validating analytical methods for process monitoring and quality control will also be a core part of your role. Furthermore, you will author comprehensive technical reports, research proposals, and patent applications. Mentoring junior scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of scientific excellence and continuous improvement within the team, is also expected.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • PhD or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in process development, scale-up, and optimisation within the chemical industry.
  • Strong theoretical and practical understanding of chemical reaction engineering, separation technologies, and process control.
  • Proven ability to lead R&D projects and manage cross-functional technical teams.
  • Expertise in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and statistical analysis tools.
  • Experience with laboratory and pilot-scale experimentation, data acquisition, and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote research environment.
This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of chemical innovation and to significantly impact the development of next-generation chemical products and processes. If you are a visionary scientist with a passion for problem-solving and a proven track record in process development, we invite you to apply for this exciting remote role.
