You will be supporting the Financial Controller with day to day operations of the business, where you'll maintain accurate electronic records and invoice attachments, support with the preparation of VAT returns as well as prepare monthly payroll adjustment worksheet for overtime, leave etc.

This role would suit an Accounts Assistant looking to take the next step and join a well-established company where you'll receive all the training to excel your career and work alongside the Financial Controller.

The Role:

  • Process and log new customer purchase orders in line with company policy
  • Raise and issue invoices as instructed by Project Managers
  • Reconcile supplier statements monthly and prepare weekly payment runs
  • Review and log staff expense claims to ensure policy compliance
  • Record changes for starters, leavers and salary amendments
  • Carry out additional finance-related duties as required by the business

The Person:

  • AAT Level 4 qualified
  • Experience in an Engineering environment or similar
  • Experience using SAGE or QuickBooks software
