Our client, a leader in innovative chemical manufacturing, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Chemist to join their advanced research and development team in Glasgow, Scotland, UK . This crucial role involves optimizing existing chemical processes and developing new ones to enhance efficiency, yield, and product quality. You will be responsible for the scale-up of laboratory processes to pilot and full production scales, ensuring safety and economic viability. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline, with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in process development and optimization, preferably within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry. Proven expertise in reaction engineering, process simulation, analytical techniques (e.g., GC, HPLC, MS), and process safety management is essential. Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies is highly advantageous. Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed process analysis, identifying areas for improvement, designing and executing experiments, troubleshooting production issues, and developing robust operating procedures. What you'll be doing:

  • The successful Project Manager will be working on the multiple civil engineering / water projects across the Central Belt of Scotland;

  • Reporting weekly to the Contracts Manager on key aspects of progress issues and concerns,
  • Contribute and help to ensure that success throughout all projects is achieved by delivering the programme on time,

Glasgow-Based | UK-Wide Projects

Are you a Contracts Manager , Site Agent , Pre-Construction Manager , or Design Engineer/Manager looking to transition from site or technical delivery into a more strategic, office-based role?

Our client — a long-established and growing civil engineering contractor with a strong brand and decades of successful project delivery — is looking to appoint a Bid Manager to drive the development of high-quality, technically robust and commercially competitive tender submissions.

This isn’t a traditional bid writing role. Instead, you’ll be a key player in the pre-construction process, using your real-world project knowledge to help win work across a diverse portfolio that includes:

  • Windfarms

  • Battery storage facilities

  • Flood and coastal protection schemes

  • Substation projects

  • General civil engineering works

What you’ll be doing:
  • Lead and manage the bid process from enquiry through to submission

  • Work collaboratively with commercial, technical, and operational teams to shape content

  • Use your on-site or design experience to develop realistic, deliverable solutions

  • Coordinate submission documents, supported by in-house bid/graphics resources

  • Liaise with clients to clarify requirements and strengthen relationships

  • Support post-tender reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

Search are actively seeking a Site Agent for a civil engineering project across the central belt on behalf of one of our key clients who are an established contractor in the civil engineering and water sectors.


Our client

  • Our client is a contractor who has been operating for over 70 years across the UK working across a number of Joint Ventures, Public-Private Partnerships and alternative forms of contract on well-known and celebrated projects;
  • Well-respected and successful, our client has secured a substantial contract and are looking for talented and ambitious individuals to join their team;

What you'll be doing:

  • The successful Site Agent will be working on a civil engineering project across the central belt of Scotland;
  • Manage the daily operations on site and ensure project timescales are met within a safe and accurate fashion,
  • Reporting weekly to the Contracts Manager on key aspects of progress issues and concerns,
  • Contribute and help to ensure that success throughout all projects is achieved by delivering the programme on time,
  • Support Engineers on site,
  • Any other site management duties as required.


What you'll need to be successful:

  • Ideally, the candidate will be degree-educated within civil engineering;
  • At least 5 years' experience as a Site Agent;
  • Previous civil engineering, NEC and Microsoft Project experience is essential;
  • All civil engineering experience will be considered;
  • Valid CSCS, SMSTS, is essential.
