What will you do in this role?
- Undertake the routine maintenance and inspection of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Collaborate with electricians and others to identify and diagnose electrical issues, helping to develop solutions and carry out necessary repairs.
- Design and troubleshoot drives, controls, and PLC’s
- Follow all preventative maintenance procedures
- Must follow all LOTO procedures
- Process improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement in manufacturing processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes
- Engineering Analysis: Conduct engineering analysis, root cause analysis and technical reports
What does it take to be successful in this role?
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
- Experience in an electrical engineering or technician role.
- Proficiency with electrical systems, circuits, and tools.
- Familiarity with CAD software and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation systems is a plus.

- Recognise best practices from within and outside the business and work with stakeholders to help implement these across the business whilst supporting continuous improvement opportunities
- Coach and develop direct reports. Monitor and improve performance through appraisal, performance management, and personal development plans to ensure that their full potential is realised

As Senior Engineering Manager – Functional Safety & Cyber Security, you’ll be the principal authority for safety and security across our electrical and electronic systems. You’ll lead a team of engineers (plus outsourced partners), define and embed standards, and oversee the full functional safety and cyber security lifecycle. From hazard and threat analysis to system-level verification, you’ll guide critical projects that keep our products safe, compliant, and future-ready.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with proven experience in safety and/or cyber security engineering (e.g. IEC 61508, ISO 26262, ISO 21448, ISO/SAE 21434) and familiarity with homologation standards such as UN ECE R155 and R156. You’ll bring a background in electrical/electronic system design, integration, and testing—ideally from automotive, bus, coach, HGV, or another complex safety-critical environment. Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to inspire and guide multidisciplinary teams.
Bonus if you have: Formal certification as a Functional Safety or Cyber Security professional (e.g. TÜV Rheinland), experience with Siemens Polarion, and a track record of representing your organisation on cross-company or industry-wide initiatives.
