Our long standing pharmaceutical manufacturing client are looking for an Engineering Supervisor to lead a skilled team maintaining critical building and utility systems across a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical research and manufacturing facility in Hertfordshire.


About the Role:


Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll be responsible for the reliable and compliant operation of all site-wide Building and Utility Services . This includes managing maintenance, repair, and improvement activities for a range of mechanical and electrical systems, while ensuring adherence to GMP, H&S, and regulatory standards .


This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll coordinate a team of engineers, manage contractors, and drive continuous improvement in performance, energy efficiency, and compliance.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and coordinate the site utilities engineering team.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and performance reviews of site equipment.
  • Oversee contractors and external service providers.
  • Support project work, shutdowns, and installation activities.
  • Lead and develop team members through training and coaching.
  • Drive continuous improvement and energy-saving initiatives.
  • Participate in the on-call rota (1 in 6) for essential site operations.


About You:


You’ll bring a strong background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering, ideally within a pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environment , with proven experience leading technical teams.


Essential:


  • ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience supervising engineers or technicians.
  • Strong understanding of building services, utilities, and maintenance systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and manage CMMS systems (e.g. Maximo).
  • Flexible approach – occasional work outside standard hours required.


Desirable:


  • Experience managing budgets and service contracts.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Full UK driving license.

**Scrutineer - T Level - Construction Civil Engineering**

·Check the question paper(s) without reference to the mark scheme(s) to ensure that the questions can be answered in the time allowed and that there are no errors or omissions.
·Work through the question paper(s) (where appropriate and directed to do so).
·Check the mark scheme(s) to ensure that the marks given are identical to those on the question paper(s).
·Prepare a report for the Content Production Manager. 
**Experience/qualifications needed**
·Substantial subject knowledge and expertise within the sector.
**Competencies required**
·Ability to edit materials to ensure they are grammatically correct and fit for purpose
·Excellent communication, written, verbal, IT and interpersonal skills. 
**Desirable**
·Experience in delivering and assessing vocational qualifications
·An understanding of the educational landscape and regulatory requirements for qualifications
·Knowledge of the specifications that comprise the area of expertise for the role.

Senior Engineering Project Manager

Location: Stevenage (Hybrid Working)

Job Type: Permanent (Full-time , 4/5 days per week)

Salary: Up to £65,000 + 21% Bonus


We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineering Project Manager to join a leading defence organisation and take ownership of their most critical engineering programmes. This high-impact role will see you driving the design, development, and delivery of advanced electronic sub-systems, managing projects from concept through to production, and shaping the overall delivery strategy across a growing portfolio.


As a Senior Engineering Project Manager , you’ll play a key leadership role in delivering complex projects to time, cost, and quality, while mentoring junior coordinators and supporting a team of Project Controllers. You’ll be a central figure within the project management team, influencing strategy, engaging with senior stakeholders, and ensuring best practice across project lifecycles. This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on delivery with long-term career development, with a defined path towards Delivery Lead and Sector Lead positions.


Key Skills & Expertise:

  • Strong background in the engineering development of electronic systems or sub-systems
  • Proven track record of delivering large, complex projects on time and within budget
  • Expertise in project management disciplines including risk, stakeholder, compliance, configuration, and earned value management
  • Experience managing projects across the full lifecycle, from conception to close-out
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and commitment to delivery excellence

Engineering Estimator – Precision, Performance, and Progress

Engineering Estimator – Main Duties:


Compile detailed estimates and prepare quotations

Log quotations

Use of the CRM system to push work and follow-ups to the dedicated sales team.

Help develop a more efficient and streamlined estimating and quotation system.

Answer incoming sales inquiries.

Raise Internal Sales Orders

Liaise with other departments such as Accounts and Projects and provide detail of Sales Orders and estimates as required for site resource allocation.


Engineering Estimator – Candidate Requirements:

Manufacturing estimating experience

Excellent IT Skills, with an understanding of Hubspot, is desirable.

Able to communicate and work closely with all levels, from the factory to MD and with clients.


Engineering Estimator – Hours and Benefits:

£40,000 to £45,000

8.30am to 5pm Mon – Thursday

8.30am to 4pm Friday

Flexible working by consultation, mainly office-based
