AECOM is currently seeking a Regional Director - Fire Engineering. This is a consultancy-based position so demonstrable experience in a range of sectors and technical fire engineering applications within a client focused environment is required.

You will be responsible for overseeing and developing a team of fire engineers within the UK. Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.

This position will be well suited to an established consultant looking to take the next step or someone with a desire to work in multi-disciplinary design consultancy and wants to join a well-respected and established fire safety consultancy.

What you’ll do! People
  • Lead and manage the team in terms of workload management, project delivery and performance.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of large, complex projects, ensuring they meet regulatory requirement and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with multi discipline team and national leadership to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standard of quality.

Requirements:

  • Experience in working on fire engineering projects in the UK.
  • Extensive experience working in a large, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK guidance documents and standards, including but not limited to ADB, BS 9991, BS 999, BS 9992, HTM 05-02 and BB100.
  • Proficiency in using common fire engineering tools such as FDS, SFE, and evacuation modelling software.
  • Membership in relevant professional institutions, such as MIFireE and/or certifications from NFPA, such as CFPE.

Preferred requirements:

  • UK or other nationalities considered.
  • Security clearance.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Institution of Fire Engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge of common fire engineering tools, including FDS, evacuation modelling, and structural fire safety engineering.
  • MSc or PhD in a fire-related discipline.
  • International experience with standards such as IBC, SFPE and NFPA.

  • Demonstrable understanding of current design codes, standards, and best practices in geotechnical design, but also open to exploring new methods and innovations.
  • Proven leadership experience in similar roles, appropriate to your level, with an ability to inspire and lead teams.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK.
  • Clean driving licence

Are you ready to be a key member of our Water team, driving growth, innovation and sustainability in the UK Water Sector?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing and innovative team. As our Civil Engineering Lead, based in the UK, you will report to the Director of Water and help grow the team and the business, building on the capabilities of Egis water and engineering professionals around the world.

As an ambitious professional with plenty of experience, you will have a background in the UK Water Sector with a good understanding of the challenges it faces as it adapts to a changing climate and increasing population. Your role will involve working with the UK Director of Water to help foster growth within our core team, collaborating with peers across all disciplines and developing existing and new relationships with clients to maximize our combined offerings and secure new wins.

What You’ll Do

  • Network and support business development opportunities
  • Contribute to UK Water Strategy to identify growth areas and opportunities
  • Support in recruitment and development of team
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders
  • Provide technical and expert advice to clients, manage and deliver projects
  • Collaborate with wider Egis teams to develop market leading and innovative services to our clients

  • Experience in the technical delivery of water and wastewater engineering projects, ideally including treatment schemes and/or pipeline design
  • Experience of working on environmentally focused water engineering projects such as river and coastal engineering
  • Experience of working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary design teams, including environmental and sustainability
  • Knowledge of current UK water industry standards and regulations
  • Experience of each stage in the design cycle from concept, feasibility, detailed design, construction and commissioning
  • Experience working in D&B environment
