Streetworks Coordinator - Civil Engineering & Utilities contractor

An expanding Civil engineering & Utilities contractor requires a Streetworks Coordinator to join their team working on a variety of Water projects.

This role will involve:

• Planning & scheduling of works to ensure they meet legilsation and are ran as smoothly as possible;
• Raising, opening and closing streetwork permits whilst ensuring compliance with all aspects of TMA (Traffic Management Act);
• Liaising with local authorities, clients, and other stakeholders;
• Coordinating with site teams (gangs, supervisors etc)

Essential:

• Experience within utilities/streetworks

• Provide expert technical consultancy on a range of civil engineering disciplines, including transportation, water, wastewater, and structural engineering.
• Lead the design development for infrastructure projects, from conceptualization to detailed design.
• Utilize advanced CAD and civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation) for creating models and drawings.
• Perform structural analysis, hydraulic modeling, and geotechnical assessments as required.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, design calculations, and tender documents.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant national and international standards, codes, and regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders in a remote setting.
• Conduct site investigations remotely where possible or provide guidance for on-site teams.
• Review and approve design submissions from sub-consultants and contractors.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
• Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations.
• Stay abreast of new technologies, materials, and best practices in civil engineering.
• Identify and mitigate design risks and propose innovative solutions.
• Participate in design review meetings and provide constructive feedback.

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management, with a focus on infrastructure.
• Proven expertise in designing transportation networks (roads, highways, railways), water systems (pipelines, treatment plants), or major structures.
• Proficiency in industry-standard civil engineering design and analysis software.
• Strong understanding of geotechnical principles, surveying, and site investigation techniques.
• Excellent report writing and technical documentation skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
• Experience in managing project budgets and client expectations.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
• Previous experience working as a remote consultant or on remote project teams is advantageous.
• Must possess a reliable home office setup with high-speed internet access.

• Effectively liaise with and support a small in-house electronics design team
• Take accountability for the department's success in meeting delivery, quality and efficiency goals

• Client liaison, understanding requirements throughout project life cycles
• Create electronic CAD designs using Altium Design, designing efficiently for test, manufacture, environmental aspects and any other aspect relevant to the client
• Design analogue and digital electronic circuits and systems tailored to client needs
• Specify and design firmware and software pertaining to client designs
• Specify or manage the outsourcing of mechanical enclosures or other project elements that are not considered the company's core competency
• Design testing hardware and procedures to ensure all production units meet the Design Specification

• Maintain accurate records to help assess the accuracy pf project quotations
• Keep comprehensive record to assist the Operations Director in updating project plans and operational understanding of project progress
• Support other departments, such as Operations and Sales, to support functions across the business
• Perform additional duties as required

Experience and Qualifications Required for Engineering Supervisor

• Engineering qualified; City & Guilds, ONC, BTEC Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance
• Previous experience as an Engineering Team Leader, Maintenance Supervisor, Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, Engineering Planner Lead Engineer etc
• Strong Health and Safety awareness
• Previous experience of undertaking maintenance within a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience of the development and application of PPM activities

One of the country's most successful residential developers requires an experienced Engineering Manager to join their technical team based in Hertfordshire. This role will be office based and will cover projects across the northern home counties.

The role will involve the management and coordination of all engineering information, responsibilities include:

• Support the Technical and Land Directors with the delivery of Technical and Engineering information
