Engineering Administrator required by leading Gloucestershire employer. The initial contract is anticipated to be six months. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the quality and accuracy of company documents.
Main Duties Engineering Administrator
- Review of technical documents before release, identifying and correcting errors.
- Developing and managing document control systems and processes.
- Attending meetings, ensuring that documents are updated and distributed in a timely manner.
- Supporting the coordination and management of databases.
- Ensuring that documents are accessible to employees when required.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and ERP systems.
- Keen to undergo training and to learn new skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a pivotal role, supporting construction, commercial, and H&S teams through the management and communication of all technical aspects relating to ongoing projects.
Duties and Responsibilities;
Oversee & monitor a team of Site Engineers with respect to setting out, as built drawings (roads, sewers)
Attend tender reviews, pre start meetings
Liaise with commercial teams to ensure all necessary permits/licences are either in place or planned.
Carry out take offs, checks, approvals and scheduling of material call offs where necessary
Production of build programmes (infrastructure works).
Ensure earthworks strategy is in place and understood by all departments (3D models, stockpile locations, cut/fill/surplus quantities).
Ensure all pre start checks have been carried out and survey has been undertaken.
Liaise with adopting authorities (highways and sewers).
Ensure site teams and sub contractors are constructing to correct specifications
Manage and oversee all adoption works
Experience & Skills Required;
Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (not essential)
Previous experience as a Site Engineer (on residential groundworks projects)
Strong knowledge of: Sewers for Adoption and Section 38, 278 works
Proficient in AutoCAD & GPS
Good communication and management skills
Ability to organise workload effectively for the purpose of meeting deadlines
Ability to work autonomously and flexibly, responding to business needs

Your role will be predominantly site-based, focusing on delivering a range of ground investigations. You will take the lead in stakeholder engagement, site management, site documentation, and site health and safety, often leading teams of logging engineers, drilling crews, and ancillary activities.
There is an active training programme covering all essential ground investigation qualifications, along with encouragement for staff development through courses such as SARD, SSSTS, SMSTS, and bespoke technical, contractual, and commercial seminars including NEC3.
Your bespoke training programme and training matrix will be supported by dedicated engineering personnel, ensuring your career as an engineering geologist continues to develop and be fulfilling. Attendance at Geological Society of London regional events is encouraged, and there is a supported pathway to work towards Chartership.
The role will include:
- Working within a wide variety of industry sectors including environmental, infrastructure, and communications across the diverse geology of the UK.
- Being predominantly site-based (away from Gloucester) focusing on delivering a range of ground investigations.
- Leading site-based stakeholder engagement.
- Site management.
- Site documentation and site health and safety.
- Logging and leading a team of logging engineers, drilling rigs, and ancillary activities.
- Digital collection and processing of site data using OpenGround (full training can be provided).
Essential Skills Required:
- A BSc degree with related geology content (Geology, Earth Sciences, Civils).
- 2+ years industry or industry-related experience.
- Logging soil and rock to BS5930.
- Experience setting up and executing projects in accordance with current best working practices and standards.
- Robust approach to management of site health and safety requirements.
- Willingness to frequently work away from home.
- Full UK driving license.
