We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Planner to work at a busy manufacturing site in Huddersfield, this is a temporary role for approx 3months, however this date could be extended.
THE ROLE
As Engineering Planner, you will be involved the on-site planning team to discuss availability of production equipment to be made available for maintenance tasks to be completed. You will also be required to do maintenance on their CMMS system which is used for logging tasks to complete on their manufacturing equipment and other tasks around the site and facilities. You may also be required to contact their CMMS supplier, should any changes need to be made in the background. You will be arranging meetings with the Engineering team to go through the daily tasks/requirements and make any necessary changes.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of internal and external engineering resources to ensure deliverables are completed on time, to budget and in agreement with the project requirements. The Engineering Manager will have previous experience on multi discipline civil engineering projects, ideally within the Rail sector.
The person:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant field
- Experience in rail projects, ideally Network Rail projects
- Chartered Engineer or similar and participation in affiliated bodies for example Institute of Civil Engineering
- Previous senior level involvement in the provision of design management services for civil engineering design and construction in the rail sector
- Significant senior level involvement in large project tender teams including price and quality adjudicated bids
- An understanding of commercial aspects including typical terms and conditions and procurement models
- Experienced in the management, surveillance and audit of assurance regimes
- Experience of managing design process in tender or contract environment

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the food manufacturing or process industry.
- Strong working knowledge of CMMS software (e.g., SAP PM, MP2, Infor EAM, Fiix, etc.).
- Familiarity with maintenance workflows, spare parts systems, and plant equipment terminology. li>Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office, particularly Excel and Word).
- Basic knowledge of maintenance trades (mechanical, electrical, utilities).
- Experience in generating reports and dashboards using CMMS or BI tools.
