Working as part of the M &E team you will contribute to the effective delivery of a wide range of business-critical functions. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the Electrical Contracts Engineer will supervise all aspects of Electrical Maintenance and Minor works including Project.

Overview

Our client is a leading provider of data centre gas operated suppression systems and equipment, specialising in fire suppression, providing a broad range of services from fully managed solutions to consultancy. They are looking for a suppression systems engineer ideally located in the Midlands or Northern Home Counties with a proven track record in installation of steel pipework for both new and existing installations. This can be from a Suppression or Sprinkler background.

• Carrying out accurate installation, utilising detailed in-house prepared drawings and system flow calculations for fixed extinguishing systems on a large portfolio of high-profile sites across the UK.
• The successful applicant will be responsible for installing systems to a high standard and will work closely with the Project Manager and oversee more Junior Engineers assisting with the installations.

• Must have worked in a similar role previously
• Must stem from a mechanical background - pipework fabrication
• Experience & Certification on working with the main System manufacturers is essential although training will be provided to further your technical knowledge on existing systems and new types of systems.
• Full clean driving licence
• H&S Training & Qualifications desirable
• CSCS or equivalent is essential

The basic salary for this opportunity is circa £38,000 (negotiable) plus overtime, travel out of hours, bonuses/commission, van and package including private medical cover. Candidates are expected to earn £50,000 or more overall.

I am looking for 2 Site Engineers for what could potentially be 3 years of work close to Birmingham city centre.

The opportunity is with a contractor on a rail (Civil Engineering) project and they are looking after the following:

• Rail structures
• Pile caps
• Other rail civil engineering works

Candidates with a stable track record and experience of specialist subcontracting in a similar environment are preferred. You will need to be keen, motivated and ambitious – opportunities for long-term growth are genuine and my client is very keen to promote from within the business.

A Civil Engineering degree is desirable but not essential; relevant experience and the right attitude are key.

The Industrial Engineer will need to have experience within general facilities maintenance, will be tasked with maintenance, service, attending breakdowns and fault finding on plumbing, electrical, decoration, fabrications and facilities. Ideally you will have a current FLT licence, and you will also be tasked with roles including Maintaining some site facilities such as effluent plant and general site industrial maintenance.

They have a current team of 6 day shift engineers and 4 night shift engineers working 12 hour shifts this role would be Panama days to support our teams and reduce contracting budget with a look to take on more tasks in house.

Construction management:

• Overseeing the construction process, including selecting appropriate excavation methods (e.g., TBM, Sequential Excavation Method)
• Monitoring construction progress and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
• Coordinating with contractors and other engineering disciplines

Technical expertise:

• Applying knowledge of ground mechanics, structural engineering, and construction techniques specific to tunneling
• Assessing potential risks and developing mitigation strategies
• Contributing to design reports, technical specifications, and contract documents

Project planning and budgeting:

• Developing project timelines and cost estimates
• Managing project budgets and ensuring cost-effective construction

Collaboration and communication:
