• Full UK driving licence – open to regular travel and overnight stays

Environmental Consultant - New Job Opportunity - Initial 12 Month Outside IR35 Contract

Our client is currently in search for an Environmental consultant  to be based in Talacre, North Wales on a 12 Month initial contract Outside IR35 with work up until the end of 2028.

Will be based in Wales 5 days per week with occasional Saturday mornings

Purpose of the position:  As Environmental Coordinator you will be part of the Health, Safety and Environmental department. You will implement HSE environment management systems in an operational context following the Company HSE guidelines and standards. You will join our Client’s Project (Decommissioning & Carbon Capture and Storage).

Responsibilities:

  • Implement construction environmental management plan for onshore and offshore activities
  • Review and monitor Subcontractor compliance to environmental requirements
  • Management of site environmental issues
  • Coordinate and communicate with environmental agency, local authorities, internal company’s departments and relevant external stakeholders
  • Perform project environmental activities such as completing ENVID, Environmental Plans, Environmental Reporting including data analysis and Environmental Investigations
  • Complete onsite activities such as audits, training, regular inspections and produce reports and data

What are we looking for?

  • Education: BEng or BSc majoring in environmental or similar
  • Experience: 5-8 years in offshore and onshore projects
  • Certification: ISO (phone number removed) Lead Auditor

Is this role right for you?

You will be a motivated and enthusiastic with existing environmental consultancy experience and possess the following knowledge, skills and attributes:

  • Good understanding of environmental legislation, and experience of application of relevant legislation, policy and guidance in respect to impact assessment for a range of project types
  • Have a proven ability to co-ordinate EIA, successfully working with teams of technical specialists and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must have excellent report writing skills
  • Be able to work under own initiative
  • Good analytical skills with a focus on finding solutions, particularly in relation to assessment delivery and bringing together multi-disciplinary teams
  • Have a focus on technical quality and excellence

Qualifications:

  • Education to degree level, preferably a Masters degree
