What you'll be doing;
- Conduct environmental monitoring, including sampling of groundwater, surface waters, and landfill leachate.
- Measure and record water levels and landfill gas concentrations.
- Report results and undertake follow-up actions to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Perform field-based work, visiting sites in the North and Midlands of England.
- Comply with company health and safety requirements and contribute to improving safety performance.
- Support with the maintenance of closed landfills
- Provide advice on permit or trigger level breaches related to landfill gas, water quality, and water levels.
What we're looking for;
- Experience of environmental monitoring, preferably within landfill or other similar industrial settings Willing to work outside undertaking monitoring and aftercare maintenance across landfills
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role
