The role is working in the production/ machining of metal parts for a variety of manufacturing clients throughout the UK and Europe.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating of the Press Machineand other similar machinery to manufacture components for our internal assembly flow lines, ensuring the highest quality and timely delivery.

Duties:

  • Set up the press with the correct tooling (dies, collar, blanks etc) to suit the spec of job required.
  • Follow the correct production processes
  • Responsible for striking the correct number of components required from the works order
  • QC the completed work with the QC packing team to ensure the product is ready for dispatch
  • Carry out daily maintenance and cleaning of the press ready for the next order
  • Ensure Health & Safety is carried out and followed

Suitable Candidate:

  • Previous experience of setting and operating machineryis necessary
  • Competent in reading and understanding engineering drawings and able to inspect work using a range of measurement equipment
  • Preference will be given to candidate who have previous experience in CNC Milling or CNC Turning machine setter

Hours : 8 am - 4.30 pm Monday - Friday with 2 x 15 minutes paid break and half hour unpaid.

Weekday Nights: 10:00pm - 6:00am (Monday to Thursday) and 4:00pm - 9:00pm (Friday)

Applicants must be available to work the full night shift pattern as required.

Pay Rates:

What You'll Be Doing

Operating a JCB excavator, you'll play a key role in our production and logistics team by:

  • Moving materials and products safely around the plant
  • Loading silos and sorting/blending product
  • Managing burner operations and monitoring product quality
  • Recording bucket weights and completing documentation
  • Handling ash waste and ensuring proper disposal
  • Performing daily safety checks and maintaining excellent cab hygiene
  • Keeping workspaces clean and hazard-free
  • Reporting issues and contributing to continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A valid Shovel Driver / Rough Terrain Licence (or equivalent)
