Ideal candidates will have a management consultancy and/or research background in shareholder activism, corporate transactions, corporate governance, and/or sustainability. While performing their duties, this professional will work closely with senior management teams of clients, helping them develop their strategies on shareholder-related topics.

Responsibilities
- Research sustainability topics, ranging from climate change to human rights.
- Collect data and produce peer and best practice benchmark reports on selected sustainability topics.
- Draft presentations and memos that are board-ready on topics of interest to corporate clients.
- Review clients’ presentations, reports, and messaging with the market to ensure clients are clear, consistent, and proactively mitigating potential areas of concern.
- Monitor market trends, both from a practice and regulatory perspective, to educate the team as well as SquareWell’s clients.
- Undertake research to contribute to SquareWell’s thought leadership initiatives.
- Collaborate with other market participants, such as investors and research providers, to improve the financial ecosystem.
Requirements & Qualifications
- An interest in capital markets and a general understanding of material extra-financial topics.
- Familiarity with most common sustainability reporting standards/frameworks, and sustainability ratings a plus
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Self-initiator. Ability to take ownership and work independently to deliver near final outputs that demonstrates strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational, presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work under strict deadlines and multi-task to ensure timely delivery of client deliverables.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and concepts into clear, understandable narratives.
- Innovative, motivated, and commercially-aware thinker.
- Ability to work across cross-functional teams in different locations.
- Proficient in English. Japanese, German, Spanish, Italian, French, and/or Dutch would be an advantage.
Requirement Process
