The Transaction Execution team is part of the Global Corporate and Investment Banking Division of MUFG. The team works seamlessly with the EMEA Legal, Relationship Management and Capital Markets teams to bridge legal and commercial expertise and deliver structuring, advisory and execution services to MUFG's corporate clients.
**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**
The Transaction Execution team covers loan transactions for leveraged and investment grade corporate borrowers using documentation which is LMA-based, US / cov lite style and/or hybrids of the two. Financings include event-driven and flow/relationship facilities (bridge, term and revolving credit). Syndicated transactions (including underwritten and best efforts) form the majority alongside a minority of bilaterals.
This role is focused on (i) delivering differentiated client service; (ii) managing the negotiation of legal documentation for loan financing transactions (including mandate/commitment documents, facility agreements and intercreditor agreements (as applicable)); and (iii) assisting with any structuring considerations and identifying any risks or issues that arise in the broader transaction documentation or process.
We are seeking a Vice President with a background in leveraged finance (working with sponsors or corporates) to expand the team's specialism in working with sub-investment grade corporate clients.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Leading transaction execution service (with involvement from pitch phase to completion) and negotiation of financing documentation with corporate borrowers and their external counsel and/or other arranging banks
+ Advising on effective structuring of transactions; demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of corporate structure, guarantee, security, subordination and leakage issues
+ Reviewing documentation at term sheet and credit agreement stages for compliance with MUFG's internal policies and best practice standards, and to confirm alignment with credit approval documentation
+ Acting as a trusted advisor and building relationships with MUFG's existing and new corporate clients
+ Ensuring consistency regarding documentation standards; being the central touch point/centre of excellence for emerging market trends and documentation-related internal escalation processes
+ In conjunction with the EMEA Legal team, identifying legal and documentation process risks with a view to continuously improve the control architecture around documentation
+ Developing junior staff and conducting internal training sessions on documentation issues in syndicated loan and on recommended best practices in executing transactions
**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
**Work experience**
+ Experience as a qualified finance lawyer (with leveraged finance specialism) in a law firm
+ Experience in an in-house environment, either as a secondee or in a legal or execution role
+ Up to date market experience in leveraged finance (for corporates and/or sponsors)
+ Knowledge of high yield bond processes helpful
+ Pitching experience helpful

Join the MongoDB Server Query Execution team, and help us build a world-class distributed open-source database. Our team plays a crucial role in the performance and efficiency of MongoDB's data processing. We are responsible for building and improving the core execution engine that powers all queries, taking a logical query plan produced by the optimizer and turning it into reality. This includes developing the physical operators for data retrieval and manipulation, improving the runtime for complex analytical and transactional workloads, and owning critical components like the Change Streams infrastructure. In addition to the core server, we support the query execution needs of other major products like Atlas Streams, Atlas Search and Vector Search, and mongosync, making our work vital to the entire MongoDB ecosystem.
You will be joining a globally distributed team with a significant presence in both Europe and North America. While this role is based in the EMEA region, you will regularly collaborate closely with colleagues across different time zones. We support both office-based work in our European hubs like Dublin and Barcelona, as well as remote work in several countries (including the Netherlands, Great Britain, Italy, Germany, Spain, and France).
We have tons of interesting problems to solve with a direct impact on users for transactional, time-series, and analytical workloads. **Candidate Profile**
+ 10+ years of experience in data management systems
+ Experience with building production-level code with a large user base, robust design structure and rigorous code quality
+ Degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent practical experience, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design/architecture
+ Experience with large code bases written in C++ or another systems programming language. You'll need to trace down defects, estimate work complexity, and design evolution and integration strategies as we rewrite different components of the system

**Team/Role Overview**
The Payments Business Execution Lead is a senior level role responsible for driving results through close partnership and collaboration within the Payments Business Execution Team and across the broader Payments organization.
This team spearheads strategic initiatives across the Global Payments business, including driving revenue growth, managing expenses and headcount, monitoring business performance, providing insightful sales analytics and reports, collaborating with COO, Sales and Other Services business teams to implement Services/Citi-wide strategic initiatives, develop and enhance strategic frameworks.
Reporting to the Global Payments Business Execution Head, this role demands exceptional analytical, communication, and management skills, coupled with strong leadership abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a relentless focus on execution. The Business Execution Lead will lead all Business Execution activities for Payments UK/Europe cluster, supporting Payments UK/Europe Head on daily basis, as well as drive Payments Global strategic initiatives and projects. This role offers a comprehensive view of the Global Payments business and its strategic priorities, providing significant professional development opportunities.
**What you'll do**
+ Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with Business, Function, and Cluster Heads to advance Payments-wide strategic priorities, encompassing business performance management, client experience enhancements, headcount management, and expense management
+ Business Alignment & Collaboration: Partner with local and cross-functional business teams to ensure consistent alignment with overarching business goals, lead key business forums in UK/Europe to drive business growth
+ Revenue/Sales Analytics: Lead revenue and sales analytics, delivering strategic insights to drive revenue growth across product lines and customer segments, focusing on UK/Europe applying Global Payments Framework
+ Executive Communications & Reporting: Coordinate the preparation of materials for key leadership forums, including Business Reviews, Town Halls, internal and external business reviews, presentations, and Citi earnings preparations. Manage ad-hoc deliverables related to reviews, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
+ Operational Excellence: Partner with key stakeholders to establish and refine best practices, streamlining processes to enhance business management activities and drive efficiency gains.
+ Project Management & Execution: Drive the implementation of business-critical projects across functions, collaborating closely with relevant senior leadership.
+ Knowledge Sharing & Communication: Effectively communicate business and product knowledge, as well as strategic requirements, to business units and internal support functions.
+ Risk Management & Compliance: Diligently assess risk in all business decisions, prioritizing the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to internal policies and exercising sound ethical judgment.
+ Regulatory Forums/Questionnaires: Coordinate preparation of materials for meetings, presentations and exams related to UK/Europe regulatory requests
**What we'll need from you**
+ Bachelor's Degree/University degree, Master's degree preferred.
+ Relevant experience in financial markets, business strategy and execution, or financial management. Experience with Banking businesses, particularly Treasury and Trade Solutions or Securities Services, is highly desirable.
+ Language Skills: Fluent English required
+ Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
+ Prioritization & Time Management: Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently, consistently meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely across all levels of audiences.
+ Data Analysis & Interpretation: Proficiency in processing large datasets and extracting actionable business insights efficiently and accurately.
+ Strategic Thinking & Execution: Demonstrated strategic and project management capabilities, combined with strong analytical and financial acumen.
+ Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions independently.
+ Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Tableau, SQL, are preferred.
+ Judgment & Accountability: Exercises sound judgment and discretion. Demonstrated accountability for achieving significant business results or providing authoritative advice regarding business operations.
