- Collaborate with exhibition designers, conservators, registrars, and education departments.
- Represent the institution at conferences, symposia, and relevant professional gatherings.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with artists, art dealers, collectors, and scholars.
- Contribute to the institution's overall strategic vision and collection development.
- Ensure the highest standards of scholarship, presentation, and audience engagement are maintained.
- A PhD in Art History, Curatorial Studies, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in curatorial work within a museum or gallery setting.
- A distinguished record of organizing major exhibitions and scholarly publications.
- Demonstrated expertise in a specific area of art history relevant to the institution's mission.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Exceptional research, writing, and public speaking skills.
- Extensive knowledge of international art collections and the art market.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus.
- Experience managing complex budgets and project timelines.
- Fluency in at least one foreign language (e.g., French, German, Italian) is a significant asset.
