  • Escort inspectors (NHBC, Premier Guarantee, Building Control) during visits, ensuring works are compliant and ready for sign-off.
  • Interpret programmes and monitor progress, highlighting any delays or issues to the project team.
  • Attend daily briefings and weekly progress meetings, reporting on status and coordinating with contractors and site teams.
  • Ensure high standards of health & safety, site housekeeping, and compliance with permits and site procedures.
  • Coordinate subcontractors on site to deliver works to specification, design, and detail.
  • Use construction management software (Procore) and site tablets to record QA, inspections, and site data.
  • Use instruments such as EDMs and laser levels for checks where required (preferred but not essential).
  • Support with CAD/DWG drawing checks and updates where needed.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience managing external works on major construction projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of substructure, drainage, utilities, and landscaping works.
  • Confident interpreting programmes, design drawings, specifications, and details.
  • Experience using construction management software (Procore preferred) and good IT skills (Microsoft Office, emails).
  • Familiarity with CAD/DWG files and layouts.
  • Good working knowledge of H&S standards and site safety procedures.
  • SMSTS and CSCS are essential; First Aid and Temporary Works Coordinator certificates are an advantage.
