What You'll Do
* Support the development and execution of industry-leading comms/PR campaigns and a strong pro-active media relations programme
* Develop and build BCG's network of media contacts focusing on the global titles based in the UK, national press, and key industry specialist titles
* Be a core member of running BCG’s day-to-day BCG London press office, handling incoming media queries and liaising directly with MDPs to prepare for and react to media opportunities
* Work alongside senior stakeholders to proactively monitor and manage reputational risk, provide strategic counsel, handle press enquiries and work alongside client communications teams and digital experts where needed

* Drive a streamlined media monitoring programme for the LAB system alongside global media/marketing metrics colleagues
* Work alongside the LAB Marketing Team and Global PR teams to raise the profile of BCG’s experts and thought leadership
* Where appropriate, proactively pitch story ideas from a busy pipeline of BCG research and published content, with a specific focus on the UK

As the Senior External Communications Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, executing, and evolving Input Output Group’s global communications strategy. As a senior member of the communications team reporting to the External Communications Manager, this person will serve as a connective force between product and brand - translating complex technical topics into clear, compelling messaging that resonates with external audiences. They will manage external communications initiatives end-to-end, from strategy and planning to execution, writing and reporting, ensuring that every announcement, campaign, and thought leadership opportunity advances IOG’s broader brand and business objectives.
Strategic planning & execution
- Develop and execute integrated external communications strategies aligned with IOG’s brand, product, venture, and research narratives
- Translate organizational priorities into proactive storytelling opportunities across events and owned platforms
- Lead the creation of high-quality content, including blog posts, thought leadership articles, social media copy, paid content, videos, web copy, and beyond in support of broader communications strategies
- Craft compelling, on-brand copy for a variety of platforms, including press releases, media statements, the company’s newsroom, blog posts, etc.
- Support the creation and execution of global campaigns that enhance IO’s thought leadership and reputation
- In close collaboration with the Social Media team, develop clear, engaging content for social media channels, tailoring messaging for platform-specific audiences

- In partnership with External Communications Manager, develop a content and email marketing strategy to drive traffic to IOG’s website, increase newsletter sign-ups, and maintain engagement with existing audiences, while expanding into new audiences
Executive visibility & thought leadership
- Collaborate with External Communications Manager to craft specific content for executives, elevating their personal brand in support of positioning IOG as a strategic thought leader in emergent technologies
- Partner with External Communications Manager and PR agencies to craft executive messaging, event remarks, and media commentary aligned to strategic goals

Operational excellence
